I know that nick and greg (aka the love) is a fairly popular ship, and I know that there are eric/ george 'shippers' i guess you can say, but are there a lot of fans who ship both? I ship both to the nth degree and just wondered what other fans do, because when i ship one i ship both and it seems like the eric/george shippers are looked upon as kind of out there.

Good question!

I'm really only a Nick/Greg fangirl. I can see why people would think/want Eric and George to be a couple; especially during the first few seasons of CSI they made a lovely pair on the red carpet and their lives definitely seem to be in sync.
But it makes me feel slightly guilty to slash real people if it appears to make them (the actors) feel uncomfortable. Even though most of the stuff fangirls talk about will probably never get back to whomever they are fantasizing about, I still feel I should be considerate of the actor's feelings.
Of course they could both be laughing their asses off and don't mind at all, but that is not the vibe I get from this particular real life pairing (especially GE), so I'll just stick to shipping the CSI characters for now :)

Well, like I said: I could totally see them in a relationship a couple of years ago. They seemed very comfortable together and George was very touchy feely in public, especially around Eric.
As for the vibe slash-wise: Eric comes across as someone who doesn't care what people think of him (Ever seen Secret Fun Time? Or the Marilyn Manson vid?) But George has been sending out mixed messages. In the old days he would be full of double entendres in interviews (with references to closets for instance) but the last couple of years he seems to be desperate to proof he's a "ladies-man", which is fine, but it makes me sad that it might be such a big issue to him.

I agree. I think they wer ein a relationship a couple years ago, but George got scared sense he's a "big macho man from Texas" and left Eric for that Monika Casey girl.


PS: Anyone else notice that Nick and George are sooooo much alike?

they are a lot alike, especially in the last few years, eric grew his hair, and after george's shaved head and the mustache...ew...he gre his hair long, and not long after he cut his hair normal so did eric. Their hair styles are just about identical now lol.

and i don't know if you know, but they say, and i believe, that monika is his beard, and i've seen some little tidbits that hint towards him and eric still being together. There are a couple of stories on how he met monika, just adding to the speculation. personally, i believe that after he did evel knievel he was buff and manly and tptb wanted to maintain this image for the sake of the show( cause omg nicks stokes could never be gay)that's when monika was really prominent in the picture.

Then I saw those pictures of them making out on the beach and it made me doubt them a little.
But really....who knows right?

And tptb is stupid. Hello....everyone already thinks he's gay/bi towards Greg. When I girst started watching the show a little more than a year ago, I actually thought they were in a relationship like Gil and Sara, they were together it just wasn't said so you know?

Exactly. There's no mention of George seeing or dating a woman during the last decade. Monika was only prominent in the picture while George was promoting Grave Danger everywhere...When George finished the promotion, Monika fell out the face of earth and George started to say in interviews that he was single and he didn't have a girlfriend. I'll have to agree with beelikej. I do only ship Nick/Greg. I have always felt bad about shipping real life persons, and especially when I read a Norwegian article about how Norwegian football players reacted to being subjects to slash fanfic. They did not like it... at all! They were really hurt by it and felt it was a real overstep to their privacy. I have to respect that, so I stay away from real person shipping. Even though I would enjoy it, I feel I need to draw the line when it comes to certain things, and RP shipping is one of them. (Incest is another)

I think in general RPS is considered "kind of out there," at least in my experience. Personally, I only ship fictional characters, just because it does seem to cross some sort of 'line.' *shrug*

It's not so much that I 'ship' Eric and George. If it turns out that they're together, it would be awesome; if not, well they're still good friends. My Nick/Greg shipping is totally separate from that, though. Despite who Eric and/or George are dating (or aren't dating) Nick and Greg will always be together to me.

I sort of ship both. I definitely ship N/G, and of course I would LOVE it if G/E was real, I just don't really see it. I'm not squicked by RPS (my first major fandom was LotRPS, go Monaboyd!) so that's not an issue. I just don't really see it. God, it'd be nice, though.
