Shout out to the community
May. 4th, 2008 03:15 pm
Hello dahlings,
I've decided to become more active in this community again and I wanted to poke others that might want to do the same but may also have been feeling a little lost in between the (new) crowd. But mostly I'm really curious how many of you pay attention to this community;)
Even if you just want to continue lurking, it will only take a minute to let us all know: do you still love CSI canon and/or fandom? You can elaborate if you want, but a simple YES or NO would already mean a lot:)
So many questions you could answer:
How long have you been around in Nick/Greg fandom?
What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else?
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?
Are you still feeling the love?
What made you semi-leave the community?
(Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating)
Do you still watch CSI? Why not?
Did you move on to another fandom/series?
What are your favorite kind of stories?
What won't you read?
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
Anything else you want to share?
Mods: slap me if you want. From experience I know Sunday-posts tend to get lost during the week (due to flist-overload;), so if allowed, I'd love to post this banner again midweek and maybe on Friday? With a link to this post, so we keep all the comments together.

Date: 2008-05-04 02:07 pm (UTC)I've been a Nick/Greg fan from the first episode, but didn't join fandom until about 2005 (I've been a slow starter on the internet)
I used to read everything, but lost track of the new authors (I'm a sucker for follow up fic and lately there seems to be less of that)
I design icons, banners and backgrounds. I started the CSI Style-guide Hairproject (http://community.livejournal.com/nickngreg/983111.html), which I hope to continue someday, and I collected soundfx (http://community.livejournal.com/nickngreg/612279.html).
I still watch CSI religiously, but a lot of my lj-friends stopped and I miss the squee.
I do hang out in a lot of other fandoms these days, but always come back to Nick/Greg, they are my OTP:)
I used to comment a lot on stories, both to offer praise and concrit and I would love to do that again. If you feel I've ignored your fic and you want to know why, ask!
I really want to be more active in the community again. I plan to work on new soundfx and wallpaper designs...

Date: 2008-05-04 02:14 pm (UTC)What do you do: Used to write now I just lurk
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? Season three can't remeber the exact ep
Are you still feeling the love? Lost track of CSI season 8 so i'm unsure
What made you semi-leave the community?
(Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating): Season 8 of CSI wasn't doing it for me all that much
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Had to work night and missed a bunch of episodes and just didn't go back to watching it
Did you move on to another fandom/series? yes, Torchwood and Dr Who
What are your favorite kind of stories? Angst baby
What won't you read? I only read well done Mpreg but I'm not a huge fan
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not? Most of the time, sometimes I am just a little lazy

Date: 2008-05-04 02:19 pm (UTC)Don't remember when I started noticing Nick/Greg. I think I actually was looking for some other story and stumbled upon a Nick/Greg and that was it... I was hooked! That must have been in season 5 I think!
I write and read and comment... I try to comment a lot, because I love to get comments as well. Love to make icons as well.
I love Angst, Hurt/Comfort... have trouble with mpreg! I like the stories to be "real" so OOC is painful to read, which is why I have had trouble with AU. (A lot of AU is OOC as well)

Date: 2008-05-04 02:23 pm (UTC)What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else? I wrote some fics (nick/greg & warrick/archi), in french, but nothing since a at least two or three years.
Are you still feeling the love? Not really. Greg hasn't much to do in the episodes. But I had a 'oh god they so are together' moment while watching Grissom Divine Comedy because they were both sick with the flu.
What made you semi-leave the community? CSI isn't my #1 show anymore. I still read the occasional fic, I watch it, but I don't need fics or vids to help me wait for the next episode.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Yes, yes. Even if I find irritating where the show is going sometimes.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? Yes. At the beginning, it was almost the only show I watched. Now I would watch anything, my interests spread wider. And if I still love crime dramas, I'm much more into the fandoms of sci-fi shows.
What are your favorite kind of stories? something with a happy end. I don't mind angst and drama as long as everything ends happily.
What won't you read? non-con, rape, drugs, death fic.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?Not all the time. I know I should, and I do it when the fic is new but when it's been online for a few months... I'm lazy.
Anything else you want to share? I'm totally a lurker here. And it's the last csi community I follow... and even this one from afar.

Date: 2008-05-04 02:30 pm (UTC)What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else? Read now days. I used to write, but never seemed to finish a story. I felt like I left readers hanging and that wasn't fair to them.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? When I read it here. The I was like Duh! It's so obvious!
Are you still feeling the love? I don't know. Have we even seen them on the screen together lately? It's like TPTB noticed the chemistry and seperated them. :P
What made you semi-leave the community? I don't visit the site to read anymore because the font was amde too small. I read it in my Lj.
(Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating) As I said, I never seemed to finish one and felt bad I left readers hanging.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Not so much. I was totally obsessed with it, LOVED it, then GSR came out I quit. No one in my family thought I could because I loved it so much, but I did. I never really liked Sara, but I was so offended that they had her get with Grissom after the way he treated/ignored her for so long, I just couldn't watch. That and they had Greg dating off screen woman and never showed Nick/Greg in scenes together anymore. I am back to watching it sometimes now. Usually takes someone reminding me it's on.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? Well, I started out with Dr Who (the first m/m kiss I liked was Capt Jack and Doctor 9; see icon) and then I added Nick/Greg. I have read some Miami ones, but never was as intrrested in them. I then added Danny/Mac from CSI:NY and then Tony/Gibbs from NCIS. And I have been a Captain Jack/Ianto (Torchwood) fan from day 1.
((*hides face* I even read a few Bo/Luke Duke ones. ))
What are your favorite kind of stories? Slash, of course. In slash it depends. If it fits the characters I like a ones that follow canon. First times are best. I also like ones that have a little S&M, Bondage, Spanking!, Daddy!kink(not so much about the Daddy part, but when one totally takes care of the other, sometimes in a crisis, sometimes not), AUs (esp slave fics), hurt/comfort, mystery, romance (even in my s/m/bondage/slave fics, it's the love that gets me, not humiliation), rent boys(usually role palying), ect... (I am detecting a serious deviant slant in my intrest. lol) Threesome and moresomes.
What won't you read? I do not read character death. (Except Capt Jack, who comes back to life, so he doesn't count. Child abuse is a BIG NO. Sometimes non-con is too much and I wont read it.)
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not? Yes. I know what it's like to write and to "put yourself out there" even if it's a fiction thing, it's a bit youf yourself you share. I think good work should be complimented.
Anything else you want to share? I wish TPTB hadn't been so scared of the chemistry they saw between N/G and I wish they didn't keep them apart.

What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else?
Read and planning on writing
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?
Oh come on they touch all the freaking time :)
Are you still feeling the love?
Oh yeah!
What made you semi-leave the community?
Never did! I still read and comment all the time.
Do you still watch CSI?
Yep!
Did you move on to another fandom/series?
I have a lot of fandoms BTVS Angel NCIS CIS Numb3rs but I haven't moved on I try to stay in touch with all of them.
What are your favorite kind of stories?
Angst...yeah yeah I know...but it's just so damn good!
What won't you read?
Hmmmmm well I'll read anything.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic?
Always.

Date: 2008-05-04 02:37 pm (UTC)What made you semi-leave the community?
Life, mostly. I'm still not done with The Ages of Greg Sanders, but my writing time disappeared for quite a while and is just now, maybe, coming back. I still lurk here and at WMTDB.
Do you still watch CSI?
Yes, but only when there are new episodes on.
What are your favorite kind of stories?
H/C, angst that resolves eventually, fluff; but I'll read almost anything that's written with decent grammar, punctuation, real paragraphs, etc.
What won't you read?
Slash involving Grissom and anything mpreg.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
Not usually, for various reasons. Mostly, I tend to read fic when I'm not coherent yet (first thing in the morning).
I don't leave comments for really good/prolific writers because I get star-struck and I can't convince myself they'd want to hear anything from (merely) me. :)

Date: 2008-05-04 03:22 pm (UTC)What do you do: I read, mostly. A while ago I made a contribution of icons, and I've got more of those coming. I'd love to write, but I've had massive writers block since the death of a friend seven months ago.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? Episode one! Only thing is, I didn't start watching the show until one of my moms got into it three years ago.
Are you still feeling the love? Yeah, totally. Even if they're together on the show less.
What made you semi-leave the community? I actually semi-left livejournal after the aforementioned death of a friend. I'm easing my way back in.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Still do. Although I must admit they're slipping.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? I've always got several going at once. Right now my other fandom is Pushing Daisies, but I'm still feeling the Love.
What are your favorite kind of stories? Heh, all. Really. Anything well-written.
What won't you read? I guess I won't often read character death. That's about it, though.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not? Occasionally. Not as often as I should. Like I said, I'm a terrible lurker.
Anything else you want to share? Actually, yes. I'm going to go back to that death of a friend. My best friend, Laura, and I used to RP Nick/Greg quite often. In November, she unfortunately passed away unexpectedly. Recently, I've been going though some of our RPs. I've come across an AU I'm still really in love with, and I feel has real potential as a fic. It'll probably take me forever, both creatively and emotionally, but I plan to convert the beginning we had from RP to fic, and finish it. When that happens, I'd love to share, if anyone would like to read it.

Date: 2008-05-04 03:22 pm (UTC)Since November, when I started watching CSI.
What do you do: I write when I have the time. Other than that I mostly lurk, but now that I have a photo editing program I may try my hand at making icons
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?
Shortly after I started watching.
Are you still feeling the love? Hell yeah.
What made you semi-leave the community?
I mostly lurk, but I'm still here.
Do you still watch CSI?
Every week
Did you move on to another fandom/series?
I've added four fandoms since, but I haven't abandoned any
What are your favorite kind of stories?
happy ending ones
What won't you read?
anything that's too angsty
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
Sometimes. I'm bad at commenting, but I'm trying to be better about it.
Anything else you want to share?
I'm writing an epic that involves all three CSIs with multiple pairings, including Nick/Greg. I'm arcing it out at the moment and writing chapters as the inspiration comes to me, which means I'm writing out of order. I have no idea when I'll be done with the whole thing.

Date: 2008-05-04 03:50 pm (UTC)What do you do: I mostly read. I occationally write but I rarely have the guts to post my fics what with all the amazing writers out there.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? Immediatly upon watching the show. I've watched it for a while, but only became obsessed a little more than a year ago. I actually thought they were in an astablished relationship like Sara and Gil.
Are you still feeling the love? Oh definetly.
What made you semi-leave the community?
I never left. Perhaps I oughta start posting my stories. I just don't feel my writing skills can amount to much on here ya know? I don't feel I'm good enough yet.
Do you still watch CSI? Oh religiously for sure.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? Nope.
What are your favorite kind of stories? Well I am a huge sucker for fluff, and fics were they first get together.
What won't you read? I really don't like slave/master fics, EXCEPT for Mastery by Morgan_Cian because it is just amazing. I don't like death fics too much, but I do read them occationally.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Yes, nearly always. Even if I didn't like it much, I'm always sure to say something nice about it.
Anything else you want to share? PLEASE NEVER DELETE THIS BECAUSE I'LL JUST DIE.

Date: 2008-05-04 04:22 pm (UTC)...I have no idea. I think I got into it around the third or fourth season. So four or five-ish years?
What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else?
Read and write, lurk, of course.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?
The first episode, which I didn't see for quite a while, but then I did and they were so cute and awkward talking about football games and anal swabs. Well, mostly I noticed how cute Nick was and how fun Greg was, and then I looked for fanfic online and found a couple good recs and I was hooked.
Are you still feeling the love?
For fandom-Nick-and-Greg yes, but I've stopped watching the show regularly.
What made you semi-leave the community?
Lack of activity, mostly.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Pretty much not. I have not and will not watch Grave Danger (seen bits and snippets and that was too much for me). I am not into heavy angst and whump, and the show was beating up the boys too much for my liking. I did watch Fannysmacking (covered my eyes half the time), but none of the follow-up. Then I heard they were making Grissom and Sara some kind of back-tracked long-standing love affair and I wanted to retch. Cross-generation, supervisor-employee, not to mention they dated other people during that time and I was totally, utterly disgusted with the writers.
Did you move on to another fandom/series?
*laughs* I've always been a multi-fandom whore, but Supernatural (first two seasons) caught and held my attention until Stargate Atlantis came along...
What are your favorite kind of stories?
I like romance and smut, of course, but I also like character studies, other characters that aren't warped (any more than they are on the show), cases, and just day-to-day interactions with the boys.
What won't you read?
Unless I'm in a really, really weird mood, I will not read heavy angst, heavy whump, character-bashing fics... It all depends on my mood...
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
I try to, but sometimes I just am not in the mood to communicate with anyone, and commenting falls on the wayside...
Anything else you want to share?
...I'm working on a Nick/Greg piece that's going to be posted at
And I still adore and love Nick and Greg. I keep meaning to catch up with the series and then get distracted by other shiny things...

Do you still watch CSI? i am obsessed, and there's always some episode on at almost any time of day, and my friends cant stand me lately cause ill refuse to go out if csi is on ahaha!
What are your favorite kind of stories? usually i like lengthy, chaptered, plotty fics, but for nick/greg ill read anything if the characterization is right
What won't you read? nothing too sad!
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? i usually dont, im just too shy! but ive been trying to change that!

Date: 2008-05-04 04:33 pm (UTC)What do you do: I read, lurk, have made icons in the past and RP privately with a friend.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? Around about season 3...though how I missed it before then I have no idea.
Are you still feeling the love? Definitely! It got lost a bit in the last season or so, but has picked up again now for sure.

Date: 2008-05-04 04:40 pm (UTC)When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? When my friend pointed it out to me in 2005. Been an NG fan since.
Are you still feeling the love? Yup ^_^
What made you semi-leave the community?
(Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating): I got intersted in too many fandoms and this one kind of took a backburner role. Plus, a lot of the best authors don't post much anymore. T_T
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Yeah, religously.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? There are wayyyyy too many to list, but CSI will always be one of them even if I'm not 100% active in the comm.
What are your favorite kind of stories? Angst, Hurt/comfort, Fluff. all kinds
What won't you read? There's not much I won't read anymore - usually if I like the summary, I click the link.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? On occasion - when I read fic, I'm suually busy as hell - which makes no sense, but is unortunately true - so I'm usually reading like 5 things at once.

Date: 2008-05-04 04:40 pm (UTC)Starting in late 2004.
What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else?
I started reading, wrote a few stories but now I just read.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?
I did not think of Nick/Greg as anything other than good friends. BUT I did enjoy the episodes where they had scenes together more than the rest just because I liked them and their characters so much. I saw a picture of the two of them together (Eads/Szmanda) at one of the award shows and in my minds eye, superimposed their characters over their actual personalities and a light bulb went on.
Are you still feeling the love?
I'm trying but the writers and the producers of the show are making it harder and harder.
What made you semi-leave the community?
(Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating)
I have a file of story ideas but I don't have the enthusiasm to write them. I'm not the best writer in the world and I'm not really a good slash writer because I love the development of the bonds or the lack of them. I think I do write good, descriptive sex scenes when they fit my plot but just not often enough.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not?
Occasionally. I started losing my involvement with the series in season 5. when some idiot decided that what this series needs is to break up the team. The fact that the whole series is built on the bonds between these people just went in the toilet then 'Weeping Willows' comes along and Gil Grissom turns into a sanctimonious, judgmental prick who spouts off drivel like 'People who live in glass houses should watch where they take their showers' and informs Catherine that 'he doesn't go out'. OF COURSE HE DOESN't...the hypocritical ba$**rd is boinking his subordinate with whom he has about as much chemistry as he does a rock. Well that wasn't a good comparison at all; I remember he actually licked a rock in one episode.
Did you move on to another fandom/series?
I watch CSI:Miami, NCIS, Criminal Minds, CSI:NY, Moonlight, Numb3rs. My favorite is Torchwood. I like Dexter and the Tudors. With the exception of 'Torchwood' I don't get upset if I miss an episode. I do TIVO them but if I can't get around to watching for a couple of days it doesn't bother me. CSI was almost an obsession to the point where I would not answer the phone during the time it was on. Maybe it's a good thing that I don't feel that way about it any more.
What are your favorite kind of stories?
Almost anything as long as I can see the characters in my mind saying the dialogue.
What won't you read?
See my comment above. I can accept all of them as werewolves, vampires, undying magical characters, whore's, slaves, etc.. as long as their basic voices are true. There is currently a story running here on this site by a writer I truly admire but I can't read this one because the dialogue is just too flowery and I cannot get a mental picture of them. This is an ongoing friendly discussion I have with one of the writers I beta for. Her stand is, any time we write a slash where any of the males have sex with each other, it's already an AU because that's not what they actually do. My take is because these are not our character's but one's we have borrowed from another writer, their basic looks and sounds are already developed and while we can make them do what we want to, we can't remake their characters.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
If I liked it, yes I do. I know how much I enjoyed the few comments I got and I'm sure other writers feel the same way. If I didn't like the story I don't comment because I don't want the authors to feel like I'm attacking them.
Anything else you want to share?
This site and WMTDB to me are unique because they are devoted to two single characters. I would hate to see these sites go under which is why I still religiously visit them every day but I haven't written anything since 'Floriography' in February and the way I feel right now, I don't know if I will ever write anything again.

When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? I've always been suspicious, but season three sealed the deal.
Are you still feeling the love? Yes!
Do you still watch CSI? Yes I do. But mostly I catch up on the internet when I have time.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? I'm still a big fan of The Love but I have expanded to HP (Harry/Draco) and NCIS (Tony/Tim).
What are your favorite kind of stories? Fluff, angst, AU, happy endings.
What won't you read? Character Deaths, rape, abuse.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? I try to, but I don't always get around to it.

When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?

What made you semi-leave the community?
(Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating)
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Yeah, but with less urgency. I watch The Office first.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? I always have several fandoms. But Without A Trace also used to be adorable on Nick/Greg levels--and then they introduced an Awkward Het Relationship that ruined that. I'm all about Psych, at the moment. *squee*
What are your favorite kind of stories? Don't care, as long as they're well written.
What won't you read? RPS, MPREG, fics where Nick turns into some kind of possessive rapist asshole jerk monster (srsly, wtf?)
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not? Sometimes. I rec stories I like usually, in my journal or on delicious. So I forget to
actually comment. But I try to, I know authors like it.
Anything else you want to share? I have this 100 page CSI AU sitting in my computer that I really need to beta and edit so I can post it. *sigh*
Also, Greg totally gave Nick his cold.

Date: 2008-05-04 05:14 pm (UTC)-Awhile, but I just lurk around to read fics really...
What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else?
-I've only made a few Nick/Greg icons, but I do make a lot of CSI icons, though mostly Nick and Catherine (not as a pairing), and I write for a different pairing.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not?
-Usually, I tend to catch it online though. But I think it's gotten me a little more drawn back into the show this season (I really dislike season 7)...
What are your favorite kind of stories?
-Almost any really, I like giving things a shot
What won't you read?
-Fics where someone is forced out of the closet- hits too close to home, and really hits bad nerves for me...
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
-Occasionally, I haven't recently because I haven't had much time to really read too many fics...

Are you still feeling the love? Yeah, especially during season 7.
Do you still watch CSI? Yes, I watch it every week unless it's a re-run. And if I miss it, I catch it on the Internet.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? No. I have a lot of fandoms but I haven't abandoned any.
What are your favorite kind of stories? I'm pretty open, I like just about everything.
What won't you read? Character death fics.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? I try to, but sometimes I slip up and forget.

When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? somewhere in the first season I saw, which was the third one, when I noticed that Greg flirted a bit with everyone but it was more intense with Nick (in my humble slashy opinion).
Are you still feeling the love? absolutely!
What made you semi-leave the community? (Obviously if you are reading this, you are still here, but why did you possibly stop writing/reading/commenting/participating): I never really elft, I should just start commenting more and maybe posting the little things I write and never let anyone read.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not? I didn't watch the season seven, but I'm catching up with the episode while I'm watching season eight.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? I have other fandoms, but Nick/Greg was my first slashy pairing ever, so I'll never ever leave it.
What are your favorite kind of stories? angsty stories that involves hurting Greg or Nick (phisically. I'm a bad bad person, I know. V__V) but that end up with a cute sweet happy ending.
What won't you read?
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not? I almost never leave comments in this fandom, and I really don't know why, I should start leaving positive feedback whenever I read something do, I promise I'll do it. :)
Anything else you want to share? nope. :)

Do you still watch CSI? Why not? Yes... when I remember it's only. Mostly reruns on Spike (which is ridiculous because they show the same episodes over and over!)
Did you move on to another fandom/series? A little bit of NCIS
What are your favorite kind of stories? ALL!
What won't you read? I'll read mostly anything... not so much of the fantasy stuff though
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not? Depends on how good it is.
Anything else you want to share? No. Ha!

Date: 2008-05-04 06:19 pm (UTC)I've been part of the N/G community about 3 yrs I think.
I write/read a lot of stuff but I prefer to smut. I don't like death fics.
I have also made icons and manips.
I do comment on stories but not as often as I once did.

When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry? I think I saw them and went, "Ooh, pretty," first and decided they'd be cute together.
Are you still feeling the love? Yes, although tptb could team them together more often.
What made you semi-leave the community? I didn't really leave, I've gotten extremely bogged down with real life and all that entails.
Do you still watch CSI? Yes.
Did you move on to another fandom/series? I'm part of many fandoms SG:A, Torchwood, CSI: NY
What are your favorite kind of stories? I like just about anything.
What won't you read? Not really.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Sometimes, although not as much as I should as my fic reading occurs in five to ten minutes intervals.
Anything else you want to share? I don't buy for a minute that Nick and Greg both being sick in "Grissom's Divine Comedy" was merely coincidence. ;)

Date: 2008-05-04 07:03 pm (UTC)How long have you been around in Nick/Greg fandom?
A couple of years? Maybe?
What do you do: read, write, lurk, design, make videos, something else?
Lurk, mostly. I was helping to beta one fic, but I don't know what's happened to that. I'd write, but I'm behind on the storyline.
When did you first notice the Nick/Greg chemistry?
No specific moment I can remember. It sort of built, until every time they were on screen together I was like, *squee!* And then I was a fangirl.
Are you still feeling the love?
Definitely.
What made you semi-leave the community?
I haven't read as much lately because I'm so damn busy with university. And, I haven't honestly watched the show that much lately, so for new episode codas and such, I'm pretty lost.
Do you still watch CSI? Why not?
Not so much. I keep meaning to catch up on it, but currently it's on a long list, after Highlander, Moonlight, and Numb3rs. :\
Did you move on to another fandom/series?
I wouldn't say "moved on". I cycle through fandoms pretty regularly, but once a fandom is IN the cycle, I always come back to it. Eventually. My current obsessions lie elsewhere, but I'm sure I'll come back at some point.
What are your favorite kind of stories?
H/C (angsty without going emo), semi-realistic get-together or 'first time' stories, novel-length fic (provided it's got a good plot - I won't spend that much time on something boring or cliche)
What won't you read?
Deathfic, emo fic (no cutters, please!); unless they've been rec'd by someone I know has excellent taste.
Do you leave comments after you've read fic? Why not?
Sometimes. Whether or not I leave a comment depends on how good I thought the fic was (if I thought it was mediocre? probably not commenting), and also how long it's been 'published'. If all the other comments are from 2005, I'm less likely to comment. Unless it's a TRULY EXCELLENT fic, in which case I'll comment regardless. Good writing should be rewarded. ^^
Anything else you want to share?
Not really. I will say that unlike a lot of people 'round these parts, I actually AM a GSR fan (yeah, yeah, I know). For me, the show was more 'ruined' by the fact that the canonization of that relationship made it... more boring? There was no more fun in trying to find the subtext, and I sort of lost interest in it. Which took away a good chunk of my interest in the show, and my 'need' to see each new episode. :\ Alas. So now I'm behind, and have dropped away from the fen a bit. I'll be back once I've caught up. Someday. XD
