Just a quick question for the sake of authenticity in a fic:

Does anyone know specifically what is on the ring that Nick is always wearing in the show?  It looks like a flower or a sun or something...

Someone said it's some sort of school- or college ring from Texas. Here's a picture to study it in more detail:

I honestly have missed some of the porn stache episodes because I just couldn't watch. It was like seeing someone do an impersonation of the character...and it was creepy.

In my stories, I keep the ring in character and say it's his Texas A&M ring. Getting their ring is a huge deal for Aggies. If you google Aggie traditions, there's an explanation.

Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to keep the ring in character. It doesn't have a huge role, I just needed to make sure I didn't screw up the description. I mean, I would scorn a fic if it said something like "Nick took off his butterfly ring and placed it on the bedside table" Must avoid oopses like that. ;)

I live in Houston and know a bunch of people who go to A&M and, yeah, it's a big deal for them to get their rings (unfortunately, I don't know any that do have their rings yet, so I can't compare). It's kinda funny/cool (and a little scary) how much they're into school spirit. :D

It doesn't look like a college ring to me, it might possibly be a fraternity ring. I've seen rings from A&M as well as UT, and this doesn't resemble them at all. I thought it was a ring he liked to wear.

It's actually really good. GE does a great job portraying Evel Knievel, motorcycle riding, etc. And he's got great hair throughout. Watch it... ;)
