A/N: read and enjoy thats all i gotta say
He lays there just staring. He knows just how lucky he is to be lying there, staring at the picture of perfection next to him. He's afraid to close his eyes, even blink too long, or else the body beside him will just dissappear into thin air and it would be like tonight never happened. He doesn't want it to be a dream. That would just crush him.
He smiles as he remembers the soft touches; light caresses along his torso, his thighs. Sweet kisses that started the whole thing. Just light touches that turned into desperate kisses and moans of pleasure. He rolled onto his stomach, arms tucked underneath him as he shivered slightly. The whispered promises still lingered in his mind and he could still hear Nick's voice in the air. It had been long and slow, perfect, and he didn't want to forget it.
Nick shifted and Greg found himself with a big blanket of Nick Stokes on his back. Greg uncurled his arms from his body so they wouldn't go to sleep and he gently moved from underneath Nick's body. Nick groaned a little, a small smile playing out his lips. Greg sat up on his elbows and stared, drinking in the sight. Pale moonlight shone through the window, making Nick's tanned skin glow. Greg ghosted a hand over his chest and torso, remembering the featherlight kisses left there. He touched a small bruise on Nick's exposed hip and he held back a laugh. He scooted backwards, leaned over, and kissed it, just barely touching his lips to the abused flesh. Nick stirred again and Greg moved back up.
"G?" Nick whispered, his voice rough with sleep. Greg shushed him and ran a hand through Nick's unruly hair, calming him back into sleep.
"Go back to sleep." Greg smoothed Nick's hair back and Nick's eyelids fluttered before resting against his cheeks completely. His breathing evened out and he was sleeping deeply again. Greg drew his bottom lip between his teeth and chewed on it as he stared.
Greg laid his left hand flat over Nick's heart. The steady thump thump made him sleepy. But he didn't dare close his eyes, he didn't want to miss anything. He wants to stay in this moment forever and never forget the way Nick was so caring and sweet and loving. He watched Nick's eyes move beneath his eyelids, wondering what Nick was dreaming about. Something good hopefully.
Greg leaned over and pressed a kiss to each eyelid, smiling when Nick whimpered a little. He laid kisses all over his best friend--lover's--face, not skipping one spot. He left a whispered 'I love you' behind each spot, the scent that's completely Nick lingering in his nose. He stopped at Nick's chin, the faint stubble there tickling his lips and he scrunched his nose up.
Nick startled him by moving, his long arms wrapping around Greg in a big bear cuddle. Greg chuckled quietly as Nick snuggled closer, his head coming to rest just underneath Greg's chin. "Greg, go to sleep. You're thinking too much." Nick mumbled. As he spoke, his lips brushed across Greg's nipple and he found himself moaning softly.
In control of himself, he threaded his fingers through Nick's hair. "But I don't wanna miss anything."
Nick smiled and Greg felt it. He smiled, too. "I'll still be here in the morning. I promise. Now go to sleep."
Greg scooted a little farther down into the pillows and mattress. Nick pulled Greg to his body until they were skin on skin everywhere, no room to breathe between their bodies, no space at all. Greg wrapped an arm around Nick's shoulders and absently grazed his fingertips over the smooth skin of Nick's shoulder and bicep. He closed his eyes and concentrated on Nick's breathing. Soon, he found himself warm and comfortable and his eyes were drooping closed.
As long as Nick was still by his side in the morning, he could sleep peacefully. Even if he didn't want to miss anything.
