Summary: A look into the perfect world of Greg Sanders
Spoilers: Stalker
AN- This is the first time I've ever posted anything, also the first time I've ever tried my hand at humor.
In A Perfect World
It was his first day as a full fledged CSI and Greg Sanders knew that there were going to be changes. While his skills in the lab were unbelievable, his abilities as a CSI were absolutely mind blowing. His reputation alone would soon boost the Las Vegas lab to the top forensic lab in the world. Of course, Greg was humble about his talents; he didn’t like all the attention he got from his intelligence, skills, good looks, amazing body and godlike talent in bed.
The moment he walked into the lab, Grissom was at his side with a pleading look in his eyes. “Greg, I really need you to do this case for me. The mayor, the sheriff, three Senators and a Supreme Court Justice were murdered. I know only you have the skills to process such a high profile case.”
Greg smiled politely at his boss. “In a moment, Gil, I need my coffee first.”
“Oh, of course! I’ll just be in my office waiting for you. Don’t worry, take your time.”
He walked down the hall and glared at the ever annoying Ecklie, who ducked his head in shame, he was embarrassed that such a great CSI hated him. Once Greg made it to the break room he poured himself a cup of Hawaiian Blue coffee. The department started ordering his favorite coffee regularly ever since word got around that Greg was becoming a CSI. Leaning against the counter, he smirked when he saw Catherine and Warrick come into the room. The two were standing rather close together and from the look on Catherine’s face Warrick must’ve been talking about the most interesting thing the world. But once Catherine saw Greg, she shoved Warrick away and made her way over to him. Greg winced at the sound of Warrick falling, but soon he was easily distracted by Catherine.
“Well now, Greg, it seems you’ve become a big strong CSI, but you still have a lot of learning to do. How about I teach you how CSIs like to play?” She hopped onto the counter next to him and crossed her legs slowly. He was also pretty sure that a few more buttons on Catherine’s blouse came undone, exposing more skin than was age appropriate, not that he minded though.
“Oh no! He’s mine!” Sara came out of nowhere and latched herself onto Greg’s arm. “Oh, Greg! I know I’ve ignored your flirting in the past, but I can’t stand it anymore. I was a fool to think that Grissom could be more of a man than you are. Please say you’ll give me another chance!”
“You’ve had your chance, Gap-Tooth!” Catherine snarled at her. “Why would he want a girl like you, when he can have a woman?” She stroked Greg’s free arm and batted her eyelashes at him.
Greg untangled himself from Sara and Catherine and moved away from the pair. “Ladies! Ladies! Maybe another time, but I have my sights set on someone else.”
Right after he said that, a teary eyed Nick came into the break room, complete with vest, glasses and non-shaved head.
Greg was at his side in a heartbeat.
“What’s wrong, Nick?”
“I just found out the Nigel Crane has escaped! I’m so afraid that he’ll come after me again, attack me and try to take advantage of me in vulnerable state!” Nick sniffled and wiped at his eyes.
“Don’t worry, Nicky, if anyone is going to take advantage of your vulnerable state it’s going to be me,” Greg said as he wrapped his arms around Nick, who then buried his face in Greg’s well defined chest.
Warrick, obviously recovered from his nasty fall earlier, kicked aimlessly at the ground and said, “Aw, I wanted to help Nick through his issues so I could make it up to him about the whole kidnapping thing. I still feel really bad about that.”
“Warrick, right now Nick needs a real man to take care of him and I’m much more of a man than you are.”
“Yeah, you’re right, Greg. Man, I wish I could be more like you.”
“It’s okay, everyone does.” Greg then turned his full attention to Nick. “It’ll be okay, Nicky, I’ll protect you.”
A sudden noise coming from a closet in the break room startled everyone, except Greg, of course. Quickly, he passed Nick off to Catherine and opened the closet door. Nigel Crane came tumbling out and was about to pull a gun, but before he got the chance, Greg knocked him out with a single punch.
“That was some great work, Sanders, I’ll get this trash out of your sight,” Brass came into the room and handcuffed Crane before hauling him away.
“Oh Greg! You protected me, just like you said you would!” Nick threw himself into Greg’s arms and cried out of sheer relief, plus he knew the tears would only make him cuter.
Sara stomped her foot, “Why does Nick get Greg? I want Greg!”
Catherine sighed, “I guess Greg goes for the abused, empathetic, southern, teary eyed male type. Come on, let’s go make out somewhere.”
“Okay.”
“Can I watch?” Warrick asked.
“Sure, why not?” Catherine shrugged.
As soon as the three other CSIs left the room, Greg threw Nick down onto the couch.
Nick smiled up at Greg and said huskily, “Be gentle.”
“Of course, baby.” Nick started to take off his glasses, but Greg grabbed his wrist and shook his head. “No, no, no, no, leave them on.”
Grissom poked his head into the break room. “Um, Greg, I hope I’m not interrupting anything, but …”
“Is this about your high profile case? Ecklie did it; I saw him in the hall earlier and noticed a piece of Supreme Court Justice robe on the bottom of his shoe and some blood that has to be Senator blood.”
“Thank you, Greg! If there’s anything I can do for you …”
“There is. Close the door on your way out.” Once the door was firmly shut, Greg looked back down at Nick, “Now where were we?”
==========================================================
“Hey, Greg! Wake up!” Nick shook Greg by the shoulder.
“Huh? Where am I?” Greg blinked a few times, realizing that he wasn’t in bed.
Nick grinned and ruffled his hair, “You fell asleep in the break room. Lunch time is over; you need to get back to your lab.”
“Oh okay.” Greg sat up from where he was laying on the couch. He shook his head, thinking of the strange dream he just had. “I think I want to be a CSI,” he said suddenly.
Nick raised an eyebrow at the sudden subject, but soon he smiled again and said, “I think you’d be a great CSI.”
The Texan was about to leave to go back to work, when Greg asked him, “Nicky, why don’t you wear your glasses more often?”
