This is for xkacie and her fantasy fic-list :) It's actually based on a pose from Shibari bondage called The Reverse Prayer. An intimate little blurb.

A/N: The Sigur Ros song is the one that's actually in the episode Slaves of Las Vegas, where Grissom is cleaning the girl's body.



No words passed between them as Nick bound Greg's arms up behind his back, starting with his elbows, wrapping the coarse hemp rope horizontally around the joints, then vertically to separate them. Trailing his hands down Greg's arms, Nick bent them upward and tied Greg's wrists in the same fashion.

A whisper of a sigh slipped out of Greg like a breeze through bare trees as Nick proceeded to loop the rope around Greg's chest, pulling reddened arms up against a back of white and pink. Greg laced his fingers together, completing the Reverse Prayer. Nick leaned down and kissed those fingers, then moved around to Greg's front and kneeled down with him. Greg's eyes were closed, his lashes like soot on snow.

"Does it hurt?" Nick murmured. Greg shook his head slowly. Nick was staggered by how beautiful Greg was, so perfect and calm in that moment. He took the younger man's face in his hands and kissed him slowly, savouring the sensation.

When he pulled away, Greg opened his eyes - calm eyes that were full of trust and love.

"Now you know what you can do," he whispered to Nick. "Now you know I really am yours."

Oh no! I found a typo! (and yes I loved this enough to re-read it). It's in the beginning of the second paragraph. "...as Nick proceeded to loop the roop." Was that in the original?

Absolutely agreed. Not that I'm incredibly obsessed, but it played in episode 202 of Queer As Folk, at the very end when Brian and Justin were making luuuuuurve, and I fell in love with the song. Then I heard it on CSI and was like "dude!"

Ahhh I haven't seen the end of season two yet!!! The box sets here are crazy-expensive, so I've seen all of season one, a bit of season two and all of season four, dammit. Argh. And you'd think it's cheaper since it's filmed like, 45 minutes from here!!!

If you do like Sigur Ros, I'd recommend the album "( )" - that's all it is - brackets. I'm not even sure if the album has a proper title. But it's sooo beautiful.

It's a beautiful position, but really, really hard to maintain, only because it pulls on the muscles in the back... there's a modification if you can't touch your elbows, either - same position, but each arm is individually tied to the body, then the elbows are (sort of) tied together. Much more comfortable... but I think Greg could take it the proper way -waggles eyebrows-

YAY Thanks! I'm SO glad you liked it!! It was a LOT shorter than I'd expected it to be, and nowhere near as smutty (which I'm actually glad for, because d/s isn't always about sex... in fact, it's rarely about sex - it's about trust -s-)

The reverse prayer is such a beautiful position, too :)
