Question about Greg

I'm a newbie to CSI and have finished up Seasons 1-3 and I'm still working on 4 and 5, but had some questions.

Is it fanon or canon that...
Greg has a fish tank?
Greg has a paper published?

Ironically, I've seen those two particulars tidbits show up together in a fic called "One Good Man" by geekwriter143. Its a pretty good read, but I don't believe I've seen the fish or the paper mentioned in many other fanfics or within the show.

I'm hardly the absolute expert on that, though. There are a number of episodes I'm currently catching up on. Plus, I can see Greg owning a fish tank. As for the paper, its within plausibility, but the most aggravating things about CSI is that its unapologetically non-character driven. And it seems like that type of development, one that's encouraged by Grissom, would only be found in fanon.

Unless, of course, the paper was mentioned on the side or in one of Greg's quirky dialogue bits [like how so many of the his characteristics get revealed]. Hope that helps.

I've read the fish thing a lot as well as the paper, but I think it's just fanon. I'm definitely not positive, but yeah, I think it's just fanon.

I am also pretty sure it's fanon. I have never heard mention of Greg owning a fish tank or any other pets for that matter on the show. Paper same thing.
