Disclamer- TBTP suck and the world world would be a better place if the fans wrote the show, so yea I don't own them. This is fornekosmuse who all ways ecourages me to write.
The stories compleat it Segmatic cut off the last three words sorry. And the band's name is fixed..I was listening to Green Day while writing it. sorry.
“It’s the end of the world as we know it…” the lyric to the R.E.M song kept playing over and over in Greg’s head. When he was young he would sit and contemplate what the end of the world would be like and what would happen if he survived. Would there be a great wave of light as the cosmic waves of the sun’s implosion finally hit the earth. Would all of the known worlds weather systems collided into one massive storm and flood the earth. Would California brake off from the rest of the United States and the world would be some sort of Water World? Questions like these, normally floated around in Greg’s head nafter watching one to many Sci Fi movies.
As the years went by, the thoughts of the worlds demise faded from his mind. The thoughts of the world coming to an end didn’t vanish over night, however. There where the nights while studying at Berkley the though might have crossed his mind while reviewing the chemical compounds he needed to know for his organic chemistry class. Or the night after he came home from the triple homicide involving a mother, her twin sons and a deranged ex-husband that couldn’t take no for an answer; that Greg thought maybe it would be all better if the world ceased to exist, with out all of the pain and horror that came along with his job.
Yet, it was on days like today; when he comes home, from one of those cases that never wanted to end, to find Nick sprawled out on their bed sound asleep on their bed that those thoughts fade from his mind. And as he crawls next to the man he loves, Greg knows that if the world ends that night, he knows that he’s right where he belongs. No matter what the day after tomorrow brings, Greg knows that it’ll be okay as long as he and Nick survive it together.
