Some discussion questions...

::knocks on community:: Hellllooo there, anyone home? Why've you all been so quite lately? It's quite sad. There's some posts, but no comments or discussion. I will assume that many of you are getting bogged down with schoolwork or RL stuff, but that is unacceptable, dammit! I'm a senior in college, and I still have time to goof around and procrastinate, so everyone should! :)

Anyway, here's some fun discussion questions to get us up and moving again. Consider it the future teacher in me trying to get everyone to participate (yes, even you all the way in back. The one who won't meet my eyes. Don't think I can't see you).

An easy one: Favorite Nick/Greg scene and favorite Nick quote and Greg quote. The quotes don't have to be with or about each other. Just general quotes.

If you think (or hope) they're together on the show, when did they finally get together? Or are they still flirting and teasing now? Or does Greg have a huge, unrequited crush on Nicky? Or does Nick not know what to do with his feelings for the silly lab tech-turned-CSI that can always make him laugh?

What is a really hot Nick or Greg moment? Or alternately, when do they wear something or give a certain look that makes you sigh or squee?

List one plot bunny you have for a Nick/Greg story, or one Nick/Greg story you want to see, in order to get our creative juices flowing a little bit. If you want to go a different route and mention a song you like to see made into a fanvid, or a request for an icon, you can do that too.

Ok! Now I am leaving for a little while, but I DEMAND some comments, discussion and general squeeing for when I get back! Don't make me get angry! Grrrr...I am vicious.

ooooh first commenter? well i have an answer to one of your topics. my favouritest nick adn greg quote is a convo theyre having when greg says "i thought we had a relationship" i like the whole scene, it made me squeal like a madwoman when i watched it.

I love that convo! It's so adorable. The acting AND the dialogue. Plus, the A plot on that ep was so depressing that those lighter scenes became doubly enjoyable.

I've had a few plotbunnies running around in my head, one of which I've relayed to shacky20.

1. Greg's a hairstylist, and Nick comes to get his hair cut. Nick ends up bald and Greg takes him out to make up for it. Supposed to be an explanation for his S5 hairdo. Obviously AU.

2. Greg/Nick/Sara psychologically unsound love triangle. That's all I can really say without bursting into tangent.

3. Not Nick/Greg, but Eric/George. Just shamelessly teasing PWP really. The theme of it is hands. Just hands. ;)

4. Post Grave-Danger fic. It was multi-pairing, from Grissom's POV; basically kinda like Gil reflecting on how everyone on his team eventually paired up and now all who's left is him and Sara. This one's old, and rather cliché.

An Eric/George hands fic, eh? Hmmm, I wrote some RPS just a couple of weeks ago on Eric and George, and I want to write more of it. I may have to steal this plot bunny! Good idea! I'll credit if I do!

Since a few of us like Nick and Greg in leather, I think a leather fic is in order. Maybe one where they go shopping for a new leather jacket or pants, and have hot monkey sex in the dressing room!

Let's see, let's see... quotes! Have to love the RAoV scene. So precious. Individually though, I loved Greg's coffee speech in 'Last Laugh.' "You know what I have that you want in the mornings? Apart from my devilish grin and rakish good looks, of course." Hee.

I change my opinion on the 'when did they get together' question far too often to actually put it down in text. XD

It kills me when either of them wears leather. The whole 'King Baby' leather jacket incident will leave me squeeing for eternity, I swear. Oh, and the sunglasses. One of the few good things that came of Season 5. Oh, and Nicky's angry leather jacket Spanish yelling in 'Snakes.' Hot.

If I had any plot bunnies jumping around, I would definitely be writing them right now. Maybe someone will post something for me to write. *Shrug*

Well, I consider this to be conversation/quote since it was sign language. I like the one where Nick signs 'I love you' back to Greg's sorta 'rock-on' hand signal.

In my mind, they got together the instant that the camera turned away from them in the first ep they were together in. Seriously, the camera flashed away to someone else and Greg just grabbed Nick, threw him down on a table, and snogged the life out of him.

Hmmm... hot Nick/Greg moment? I'd say anytime Greg's eyes get that little bit of a pleading look, like when he wants Nick's approval. Mmmmm.... hot! Oh, and anytime that Nick wears those button down, collared, dress shirts!

Plot bunny?? Hm, well... Greg wants to take Nick to his church. Nick refuses, thinking that the church would be like the homophobic one that he came from in Texas. Greg ropes him in to it and they go, only to have Nick find out that it's a UU church (for those who don't know, UU's /love/ homosexuals.) Nick ends up being really comfortable there, and- voila!- happy ending with Nick no longer completely believing that God hates him for the way that he is. Yes, very weird. Yes, random. No, I don't apologize for having odd plot bunnies.

Favorite Nick/Greg moment: The weather conversation, even though Greg had HORRIBLE hair!

Favorite Greg line: "You make me nervous"--to Grissom

Favorite Nick line: "Leggo my Greggo."

I also love Nicky in leather, as well as Nicky wearing glasses. So hot. I love love love how hot Greggo looks when he's searching the neighborhood in "All For Our Country."

The plotbunny I just had while I wrote this response, actually, was Greg hearing Nick make that "Leggo my Greggo" line followed by "He's a CSI wannabe." Does anyone know of a fic written around that idea?

Requests: First time fic involving either Nick or Greg getting jealousy about the other person flirting with/seeing someone in the lab. I love first time!fics as well as jealousy!fics. And some nice angst thrown in is always a good thing. *nods head* Uh-huh. Definitely.

I think my fave Nick/Greg moment is in 2x07 - Caged. When they're in the lab and Greg takes out a book, after making a very feminine swing with his hands I might add, and Nick says "I thought that was where you kept your porn" and Greg pelies "I move it around". I laugh every time, then of course I wonder why Nicky would know where Greggo keeps his porn. And in the same scene, where Greg says to Nick that everyone thinks of him just as a pretty face, and that he's climbed so high in CSI because he slept with Catherine. The look they share is almost like they say "But we know otherwise".

Can't specify a quote for you though, there are far to many!

That porn conversation is great too! As is the liquid latex convo. And ohh...does anyone remember the name of the ep where Nick and Warrick are in Greg's lab and Greg kicks them out? Or the ep where Nick gets too close to Greg, and Greg yells at him for hovering? "Do you think Einstein had someone hovering over him all the time..."

Also! To answer a question I forgot: I kind of hope that Nick and Greg haven't gotten together yet, just because I love UST and flirting and teasing and first times. But many people think that the explosion was the turning point for them.

I know a lot of people that the Nick/Greg thing started out with Scuba Dobbie Doo. For me, when I see old episodes now, I notice things that could, and most likely is, be used my the slash writers. But I also love the flirting and teasing, so I'd just like to think that they act like they've just gotten together all the time:)

Aaah, so many moments I like, it's hard to choose. I love all the moments already mentioned. I also love the scene in Hunger Artist, where Nick comes across Greg in the hallway. Greg is without his labcoat (!!) eating noodles (?) and Nick is all being protective of Greg's health 'That stuff will kill you.' Heh. And of course, the best part... Nick staring at Greg's butt when he walks off *points at icon* XD

Other scene I like is in Felonious Monk, when Greg looks Nick up and down in front of Grissom.

Funny story! When I had just first gotten into my NickGreg obsession, I hadn't seen The Hunger Artist. So my friend and I were watching the CSI marathon on labour day (the day after my birthday!) and I saw that scene for the first time. I squealed so loud that her cat fell off the top of the couch. XDD

aha! I love this discussion. Can't stop smiling! I was going to mention *that* leather jacket. I was watching a repeat of 'King Baby' yesterday, and I forgot about *that* jacket and then I saw it and it took my breath away. aaahhh mmmmmm. And thanks for the pic up there. That has made my day.

And clearly they are sharing clothes and living together and getting all their stuff mixed up in their shared wardrobe if Nick wore it in another episode! They're always sharing clothes. They make it too obvious!

I want to say that Nick wore that jacket in "Snakes." There maybe have been other episodes as well, but that's the one that comes to mind.

OH! Another HOT Nick moment for me: the end of "Four Stories" when he's walking out of the lab and runs into Grissom. He's wearing this tight hoodie, I think, and a bag with the strap running diagonally over his chest. Mmm...so nice.

Since I'm a profound first time writer, I'd say anytime really. But after Ch-ch-changes would be logical, because they wouldn't be caught working cases together then.

Hmmm, well I am guilty of being too busy to slash and let me just tell you it hurts! Lol. I am finished uni for the year on friday so I will be able to finally catch up on all my fics.

Most of my favourite Nick/Greg scenes have already been mentioned but I love the stuff with them in 'Stalker' where Warrick warns Greg that Nick is pissed:D And I love the ep where Greg tells Nick to back up and give him some room - I like to think it's because he can't think so well with yummy Nicky so close at hand!

I change my mind about when I think they got together every time I rewatch an ep so I really couldn't say.

I can not believe I missed the whole leather jacket sharing thing :off to rewaych the eps now: I usually pick things like that really well - could be that the station here in Australia keeps fucking around with the programing for CSI. Love the ep where Nick strips off and gets into the pool and the episodes where Greg starts wearing jackets over his t-shirts to make them look more formal lol.

Plot bunnies - well let me see...the biggest one that has been biting me these days is the next part of 'Out on a limb' but I had a cool idea for a series of song related fics which I hope to start soon also.

I'd love to read more George/Eric rps...does that mean I'm going to hell?

ok im commenting yet again. I've had a few ideas for fics but i cant write very well, i seem to have lost my vivid imagination in the last few months but if i ever find it then ill give writing a fic a go. so meanwhile im gonna write one of my ideas here for anyone to steal if they wish.
