Title: Crazy
Author: PK Night
Rating: G
Warnings/Spoilers: None
Summary: “I’m lookin’ ahead to years of makin’ you crazy, as crazy as you make me.”
Notes: Inspired by my aunt's lyrics. Yes, I'm very inspired by music, and everything reminds me of Nick and Greg. *shrug*
Crazy
Nick doesn’t like Greg’s music, which doesn’t bother them because Greg doesn’t like Nick’s either.
Nick wants the CDs organized by artist, and Greg wants the CDs organized by genre (mostly so Godsmack wouldn’t be anywhere near Garth Brooks).
Nick will only drink skim milk, where Greg can’t stand the stuff.
Greg takes too long in the bathroom.
Nick eats straw cereal for breakfast.
Greg has no concept of good diet and will eat ice cream at nine in the morning before trying to go to bed.
Nick keeps trying to find healthy alternative foods for Greg to eat, and Greg just keeps eating junk.
Greg often forgets to hang up the towels and leaves them lying in heaps on the floor.
Nick will forget to put away the clean clothes and so Greg won’t know what’s clean and what isn’t and ends up wearing dirty clothes to work.
Greg refuses to drink anything other than Blue Hawaiian and will give Nick the silent treatment if any lesser brand makes an appearance on their counter.
Nick likes his bills paid on time, and Greg tends to put the mail in weird places (like leaving it in one of the kitchen cabinets because he was getting food when he had the mail in his hands) so Nick can't find the bills to pay them.
Nick makes up his side of the bed when he wakes up in the morning, which unaccountably drives Greg crazy.
On the other hand, Greg hogs the bed, often pushing Nick nearly off the edge of their bed as the other man attempts to crawl inside Nick’s skin in sleep. (Not that Nick objects come wake-up time...)
They really do drive each other crazy, almost constantly.
But the beauty of love is that they can smile at each other over their differences and continue to drive each other crazy.

Title: Coming Out
Author: PK Night
Rating: G
Warnings/Spoilers: Somehow I don't think I need to warn about "guys kissing" here...
Summary: See title.
Notes: National Coming Out Day was on Tuesday (10/11). And on my campus we had a who-could-shout-loudest contest between a proselytizing preacher-plebe and Outlook (the GLBT group on campus). So, since I'm not brave enough to say "shut up!" to his face, I'll say it this way.
Coming Out
Nick doesn’t know what possessed him. Well, he had a pretty good idea that it was that feeling welling up in his chest every time he looked at Greg, smiling and laughing over the bad punch at the company Halloween party. And Greg had made a lame attempt at a costume—the half-mask from the Phantom of the Opera—and damn if it didn’t make him look dashing.
And suddenly, Nick was tired of pretending. And he can’t really say he was thinking about anything but Greg when he walked over, grabbed Greg’s shoulders, spun the younger man around and planted a kiss right on his lips. It wasn’t a long kiss, not even a particularly hot one, but it was a kiss.
Greg looked flummoxed, and there was a heavy silence in the room that lasted for all of a moment before a small buzz began. Nick had blood rushing in his ears, though, so maybe people were actually talking and hadn’t turned into insects when he wasn’t looking. But he licked his lips and took Greg’s hand. Whatever happened, happened and that was it.
Nick turned, ready to face the music, but all he got was an arched brow from Grissom—who continued his conversation with Catherine—smiles from Sara, Warrick and Archie, who were hanging around the cookies, and a thumbs-up from Jacqui.
It felt anticlimactic to Nick, until he turned to Greg and saw the grin he sported, and felt Greg squeeze his hand. And that made it worth it.

Date: 2005-10-14 09:50 am (UTC)I especially liked the first one...been in a situation like that!
And "Greg wants the CDs organized by genre (mostly so Godsmack wouldn’t be anywhere near Garth Brooks)" is a classic line and made me start my day with a big ol' smile.
