Just Peachy
Greg Sanders loves peach yogurt. He adores it. Savors every bite. It’s a breakfast staple, a perfect midnight snack. And whenever Greg finds himself hungry at work, he always manages to find a cup hidden at the back of the break room fridge.
But a while ago, during one of his oh-so-boring breaks, Greg soon found a new reason to appreciate his favorite treat.
He was leaning back in his favorite chair, feet propped up on the polished table, a container of Kirkland’s Orchard Peach in his hand. As he took another bite of the smooth, creamy dessert, he heard approaching footsteps and turned to see who was making their way down the hall.
It was Nick.
Greg swallowed his mouthful, trying his best to ignore his little crush on Nick. He had told himself a while ago that Nick was straight and his attraction to the Texan was in pure fun.
Still, it was hard to resist Nick’s thousand-watt smile, or the way he ran his hand through is hair, or the way his voice sounded when he said “Hey, Greg…”
It took a few seconds for Greg to realize that Nick had just said those words.
“Huh?” the lab tech asked, shaken out of his stupor.
“Is that peach yogurt?” Nick was eyeing it hungrily.
“Yeah, but-”
Nick reached down, took the cup from Greg’s hand – his fingers brushed Greg’s in the process – and dipped the spoon into the cup. He swirled it slowly, then slid it into his mouth with a tantalizing effect. Greg was transfixed by the way Nick’s mouth moved around Greg’s spoon.
Maybe Greg was hallucinating, but he swore Nick was watching him intently the entire time. He couldn’t help but wonder what else Nick could do with that mouth…
Suddenly the episode was over and Nick gave the empty cup back to Greg.
“Thanks, man,” he grinned. He clapped Greg on the shoulder before catching up with Catherine in the hall.
Greg stared at the spoon. His spoon. His spoon that had just been in Nick’s mouth.
Maybe, just maybe, there was hope after all.
A/N: You don't know how good that felt. My last fic was written almost a month ago x_x
