Intro

Hi all! I just wanted to introduce myself, since I've been lurking on this community for a while but haven't had a livejournal account. I really don't know much about livejournal or how communities work or anything, so I hope this post is okay. I love to read, but don't do a whole lot of writing, hence the lurking (I've been lurking over on WMTDB too, hah!).

I did finally write a story the other day, though - I don't know if it's any good, and I know the title's kinda lame, but I did post it on WMTDB if anyone wants to read: http://www.nickandgreg.net/desert_archive/viewstory.php?sid=6094

I love reading Nick & Greg fanfiction, and that's actually what got me into CSI in the first place - poking around over on fanfiction.net, running across some Nick/Greg stories, reading them even though I had no concept of the characters, and getting hooked. Hurt/comfort stories are my favorite, but I'll read pretty much anything. I do stay away from mpreg fics, because they squick me out, and I rarely read character death because it's just too sad - I can't stand seeing one of them without the other. If they both die, it's okay though, haha. As long as they're together, right?

Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself to the community, and now I'll likely slip back into lurkdom unless I find something to say or decide to write more fics.

(Also, I snagged a bunch of icons that people posted here in the past, and hopefully I credited them correctly...if you see that I haven't, please let me know so I can fix it.)

It's always a proud moment to see someone delurk, welcome out in the open \o/ Thanks for sharing your story, I'll check it out later! I'm happy to see Nick & Greg still inspire new fanfic:)

Hi! Thanks for the warm welcome. :) I will definitely check out the Introduction Post. I'm not watching the new season yet - I don't have TV, so I watch on the computer, and I'm still working on catching up from the very beginning. I'm currently at the end of season 6. But lately I've been watching multiple episodes a day, so I'm hoping to be caught up soon!

Aw, thank you! I'm glad you liked it. It didn't quite go in the direction I was planning, so I hope I managed to keep the boys in character. :) I will definitely be around here reading whether I'm posting or not. I'm a pretty quiet person, unless I've got something to say - then I can go on for hours (or paragraphs, depending on the medium)!

Just saw this - Thank you!! I'm so glad to hear that people are enjoying it. I know some parts (the end in particular) aren't very realistic (and probably kinda cheesy), hah, but I was just writing it for fun, and not even planning on posting it originally. Personally, I like it better when there's some build up to the relationship and not just a sudden thing like how I ended my story - if I decided to expand on that one or write a different longer story, I'd change that. I'd love to write more if I have the time and/or inspiration - I've always loved to write, but I've never really done much with it. Thanks for the welcome, I'm really enjoying being a part of the community and being able to comment on stuff and such now instead of just lurking. :-)
