S13 Episode 1 Karma to Burn

During the holidays I finally managed to catch up with season 13. I was so pleased to see the chemistry between our guys is still there. Ooops, was that a spoiler? You all know they still sparkle together, right?;) If you were having doubts, I hope this post will take them away. To document my squee for season 13 I plan to make a couple of picspams with scenes that stood out. This is the first. Enjoy!


CSI: Crime Scene Investigation S13 - Ep1 Karma to Burn [Sep. 26, 2012]
[While Ecklie fights for his life after his shooting, Russell's patience begins to wear thin as the team tries to get to his kidnapped granddaughter before she is killed.]

CSI: Cute Subtext Inquiry, Nick/Greg edition
Nick is in a pissy mood and gets drunk, says he's gonna quit (again).
In the mean time Greg investigates Ecklie's shooting. He lets Nick stew and then makes him pay for behaving like a brat by letting Sara have at him.

Sara, Nick, Greg are watching the newsreport in the breakroom.

Greg: Sounds like the LVPD is making a come back.

Greg: How about you, Nick?

Nick: What about me?

Nick: *shrugs*

Nick: I don't know, I haven't talked to Russell yet

Greg: This isn't about Russel.

Sara: Words have consequences, you know. I mean, if you say you quit, you need to mean it.
Nick: You quit.
Sara: Well, yeah, but I didn't say it out loud. I left a note at reception for Grissom and I walked right on out of here.

Nick: Aaaand you're still here. So don't preach to me about integrity, okay.
*cue yelling match*
Sara: Wait a minute, I'm not preaching to you about integrity, I...
Nick: You kind of are, a little bit, don't you think?
Sara: ...I went away for a while and I got my head together...
Nick: You got a lot of nerve to talk to me about quitting, you really do...
Sara: I went on a break...
Nick: Seriously?

Greg: Alright. Alright, alright, ALRIGHT. This is not how family treats each other.

Greg: *shares look with Nick* Actually, it is. But: we are also a team.

Greg: And that means we have to trust that we have each other's back no matter what.

Greg: So, are you in, or are you out?

I'm always so pleased when Greg calls Nick out on his behaviour, but even more so when he knows to just leave him to mess up on his own. That's true love *grins*
