Greg sipped his cappuccino and looked around Borders after shift. His eyes kept coming back to one magazine and finally caved and picked it up and sat down in the middle of the aisle flipping through Car and Driver. About ten pages in he heard a disgruntled voice from the next rack of magazines.
“Where the hell are the surfing magazines.” The voice called out.
“Bottom right hand corner in the hobby section.” Greg hollered out.
“Thanks man. I was looking in sports.”
“I know it’s sad, surfing is such a physically intense activity yet they count it as a hobby.”
“I really don’t know much about it. A.......buddy of mine recommended it.”
“A buddy?” Greg toyed with sexy voice across from him as he flipped the magazine.
“Well, to be honest, it’s this guy I’m kinda interested in. I though if I brushed up on some surfing stuff, but this magazine is incomprehensible.”
“I know what you mean. I though I’d brush up on some Car and Driver, but I don’t see what the appeal of a magazine with out a single half naked man is.”
“Hey man, there’s more in this life than half naked man.” The hidden man let out a soft giggle.
“Sure, fully naked men.” Greg teased, and the stranger let out a full blown laugh.
“So you’re a surfer right?”
“Yeah”
“So could you maybe give me advice on how to impress him?” The stranger sat down and Greg could see his eyes through the racks.
“Well, I’d suggest being yourself.” Greg closed the magazine and watched the stranger’s eyes. “You seem like a really sweet guy and I’m sure this guy’s already in love with you.”
“Really?”
“Hell, I’m almost in love with you, haven’t seen your face yet. So unless your some kinda freak..” Greg trailed off.
“Well, normally I’d ask you to my place for some coffee, and then convince you to have wild sex with me.”
“And you know I’d normally allow myself to be drug away with the promise of substandard coffee if it meant having wild sex, but....”
“Given the fact that we met while trying to research the interests of our respective love interests....”
“Wouldn’t be cool, would it?”
“Not really.”
Both men sat there in silence looking at each other’s eyes for a moment. Greg finished his coffee and shut the magazine in his lap.
“I should get going.” Greg said slipping the magazine into it’s place on the rack.
“Yeah me too.”
“Thanks for the sex offer, sometimes I forget that someone might find me attractive. I flirt so much be never get anywhere.”
“Thanks for the advice.” Greg could hear the smile in the other voice.
“Anytime, bro.” Greg got up and walked away. Never looking at , Nick making his way towards the register with a stack of surfing magazines, Inches buried in the middle. And Nick never saw Greg leave with copies of Car and Driver, Wildbird Digest, Men, and Journal of Forensic Science.
Feedback welcomed.

What Ep is it for?
