Hi all!

Here a message from your friendly neighborhood modsquad.


We'd like to talk to you about posting fic.
Some people have emailed us with some concerns, so we've decided to set some rules. When you post, we'd like you to give us more than just a title. Some people are weary of reading something if they don't know what it's about, and may skip your fic, so we'd like you to give us some more information. Here's an example of what information you should give:

Title:
Author:
Rating:
Summary:
Warnings:
Disclaimer:

Especially the warnings are important to people. Here are some things you should definitely warn for: spoilers, deathfic, drug-use, dub- noncon... Just take a look at your fic, and see if there's something in there people could have problems with. Don't be afraid no-one will read your fic though! One person's warnings can be another person's kinks/interests. It's a courtesy issue not a locking someone out issue.

If you have questions, don't be afraid to send us a message, or to leave a comment to this post.

Also? Don't forget to tag your post! Tagging makes it easy for people to find things. Tag at least with your name (so people can find more of your stuff if they like what you post) and fic title.

I am guilty of not putting a summary and/or warnings on my stuff. Maybe that's why a lot of my stuff gets passed over. I know real life gets crazy sometimes and people don't have time, for whatever reason. Maybe by doing this, I can get more stuff read, or at least I will know if my stuff is really that bad!!???!! I think for a lot of people, that's the reason. Most people like to know what they get into before hand. :)

That's me right there. I almost assume that if someone can't take the time to put together a good "cover page" to pimp their work (since seriously, it's like scrolling through a library, guys) then the fic probably won't be worth my time to read. :/
