S1Ep17 Face Lift (part 2)
Remember this post? We promised you more, so here it is! Nick is talking about sparkly bits, and Greg is being puckish. Oooh...


SCENE 1: Greg's being puckish

GREG: Okay...
NICK: Do you see the sparkly bits?

GREG: Fluorescent minerals.

GREG: Interesting.
{GREG: Sparkly bits, huh? *gives smoldering look* NICK: *gulps*}

GREG: Here, do me a favor, will you?

GREG: Put your nose down the scope.

GREG: And, when you see the sparkling bits glow give a shout.

GREG turns the Rofin device on and attaches the nozzle to it. He turns the lights on as NICK puts on his goggles. GREG adjusts the machine to P2 / 505.

GREG: Okay, ready?
{GREG: Stand just like that, yeah...}

NICK: Yeah, ready.

GREG: Lead.
{GREG: *stares*}

GREG: Zinc.

GREG: Lithium. Anything?
{GREG: Yeah... still handsome...}

NICK: Nothing yet.

GREG: Manganese.

GREG: Petroleum.

GREG: All right, how about this?

NICK: Whoa, whoa, whoa ... stop.

GREG: It's uranium.

{NICK: Fuuuuuuuu....}

NICK: Are you serious?
{NICK: Please tell me you're joking... Please? GREG: *pokerface*}

GREG: Simple quantum mechanics. When the molecule is bombarded with energy at a specific level the electrons excite, causing the mineral to glow. And, at this wavelength, it's definitely uranium.

NICK: Which is radioactive.
{NICK: !!!}

NICK: Do we need to evacuate the building or anything?
{GREG: You sure look pretty like this.}

[OS]GREG: The amount is trace. We should be fine.

Nick: You sure?
GREG: No.

GREG: But I can tell you one thing for sure --

GREG: --there is definitely uranium on your murder weapon.


SCENE 2: Nick's a little paranoid

{Ngh, arms.}

GRISSOM: I hear that, uh, Greg found uranium on the swab from Felton's skull.

NICK: Yeah. He says I'm okay, but you know Greg.

NICK: Tell me, am I radiating a green glow?

GRISSOM: You'll be fine, Silkwood.
{GRISSOM: ...idiot. NICK: Just wait till I get home, Greg...}

I can't get past Greg's face in #21. He looks so scared and it's a little bit heartbreaking.
Greggo shouldn't allowed to be scared. Ever.
