A/N: This is the VERY LAST fic that started with “If You Were Mine To Lose” , and “Wishing It Was You”. I WILL NOT write any more fics around these stories.....

 

 

 

Greg pulled up at his apartment building and shut the car off. He looked over at Nick and smiled. Nick smiled back and then began to laugh. They got out of Greg's car and wnet upstairs to Greg's apartment. Once inside, Nick sat down and Greg stepped into the kitchen to get them each a beer.

 

When Greg returned from the kitchen, he sat down on the couch and the two men began to talk.....

“Greg, I really want you to know how grateful I am that you showed up at the church. It really means a lot.”

“Well, Nick, I just knew somehow that you needed me to rescue you. When I read your letter, that was all it took.”

“So what happens now?”

“What do you mean, Nick?”

“What do we do about us?

“Well, that's gonna be a tough one. You still have to deal with Jeanine, your parents, the people we work with.....”

“Greg, you didn't answer my question.”

“Nick, I'll be here no matter what, but I feel that you need to deal with all these other things before there can be an “us”.”

 

Nick thought about what Greg was saying. He knew Greg was right, and that he did have some serious issues to deal with. It made him happy beyond words to know that Greg still wanted to be with him. Nick vowed right then and there both to Greg and himself that he was going to do his level best to earn this man's trust and love, and he was going to show and tell Greg every day that he loved him. As he leaned in for a kiss from Greg, he muttered a small prayer of thanks for getting another chance.....

I think it was because it was you that I caved and wrote not one, but one and a half more parts!!! LOL!!! I don't know that I would do it for just anybody!
