Classic Episode Discussion: S9Ep14
Feb. 15th, 2011 09:35 pmS9Ep14 Miscarriage of Justice
If like Greg you thought last week's moment was yawn-worthy, you'll be happy to know this week classic has three scenes filled with all kinds of emotions worth discussing! We offer you innocent Greg, oblivious Nick and some flirting after work.
SCENE 1: Innocent Greg
01.
Greg is comparing bullets.
02.
Nick: Fire two.
03.
Greg: The gun is registered to the congressman. It's his missing berretta.
04.
Nick: This is the gun that killed Amber Jones.
05.
Greg: Humphreys said there was no gun at the scene.
06.
Greg: He lied under oath.
{Ahw, isn't it cute how he says that like he didn't know that was possible?}
SCENE 2: Oblivious Nick
07.
Nick: Gotta be hard to sleep in the same house where your mum was killed.
Greg: They say kids are resilient.
08.
Riley: Nobody is that resilient. She is probably blaming herself.
Greg: The voice of experience?
09.
Riley: Boric acid can be ingested or absorbed through the skin, I’m gonna go check out the shampoos and bodywashes.
Nick: Alright.
10.
Nick: Is Riley alright?
11.
Greg: I think this whole case has hit a nerve.
{"Oh, you sweet insensitive man"}
12.
Nick: Well, she is not shy.
13.
Nick: If she wanted to talk about it she would.
14.
*Greg bites his lip*
{We're betting he desperately wants to remind Nick *some people* hide their emotions. Allow us to prove our point with the next few looks between them...}
15.
{"What?"}
16.
{"You really don't the irony of what you just said, do you?"}
17.
{*sighs* "Never mind, let's focus on the case"}
18.
Nick: Source of the poison has to be something that has been around at least two months.
Greg: I'll start with any open items.
19.
{Nick's all business}
20.
{But from the look on Greg's face we expect him to get back to the issue as soon as they're done;)}
21.
Nick: We have a winner. Looks like somebody tampered with their drink mix.
Purchased at Skadden Pharmacy.
22.
Greg: Looks like she usually shopped at Nathan's Market.
23.
Nick: You don't buy food at a pharmacy.
24.
Nick: Unless you're there picking something else up.
*ba-da-bing*
SCENE 3: Flirting after work \o/
Since the above moment is a little tense, let's end this post on a happy note: drinks all around! Oh my: look at our guys, they are so obvious, aren't they? \o/
25.
Hey.
26.
Hey.
27.
Wanna go home?
28.
I still have beer... Wait, what?
29.
Oh. *blush*
Don't they look scrumptious? Do you agree/disagree with our theory for scene 2? Have an idea for follow up fic for scene 3? Share your feelings! *grin*

Date: 2011-02-27 02:04 am (UTC)Greg literally stomped out of the crime scene, hoping Nick would be no where close behind. Of course, how could he have gotten so lucky.
"Greggo!" Nick was right on his heels, keeping time with his every step as they both marched toward the Denali. As Greg reached for the door handle, Nick's hand quickly slapped it away and spun the younger CSI around with his opposite palm. "What the hell is the matter with you?"
Greg opened his mouth, closed his mouth, then closed his eyes. His nostrils were flaring at the insensitive comments made on Nick's part. Greg's jaw tightened, and his fists clenched and unclenched.
"What's wrong, G?" Nick was genuinely concerned about his--it was still weird to say--live-in lover.
"Are you freaking serious, Nick?" Greg tried with all his might to keep his voice down so anyone else being nosey would not be able to hear their conversation.
"G, please. I don't have a clue..."
"That's just it!" His retort cut Nick's statement short. He had no idea the truth he was confessing. "You never have a clue, Mr. I-don't-have-any-skeletons-buried-in-my-closet-that-I-don't-want-to-share!!" Greg was panting at this point. He felt so bad for Riley that he knew he needed to defend her reaction in some manner.
"You're such an asshole, Nick!"
"What the hell are you taking this so serious for, Greg? So what? She can talk to me if she wants! She's a big girl!" Nick continued to dig himself a deeper hole. "Why does this get YOUR panties in a bunch, Sanders?"
Nick never saw it coming.
Greg reared back with all his might and decked Nick right across the flat part of his jaw. Nick was taken aback, and his hands gripped Greg's flak jacket in defense.
"Jesus Christ, Greg!" Being the stronger partner, Nick literally picked Greg up by his vest and shoved him into the driver's side door of the black SUV. "Get your fucking self together." Nick let go and dropped Greg where he stood.

Date: 2011-02-27 02:17 am (UTC)"Hey, G. It's okay. I told you that. I deserved it." Nick was nursing an chilled scotch as the ice pack reduced the swelling to the underside of his jaw. "Besides, I think Riley fell in love with you a little more today. You being her hero and all." Nick laughed. Greg didn't.
"Jesus, Nicky. How can you laugh? I flippin' decked you because I said YOU were being an asshole!" Greg was more upset than Nick felt he had a right to be. As far as the dark-haired partner was concerned, it was already water under the bridge.
"It's over, G. Let it go." Nick set his ice-pack on the bedside table and scooted in close to Greg. "I was an asshole. You called it, baby. Now, let it go. Okay?" Nick laid his arm across Greg's shoulders.
"I love you, Greg, and when I'm being a douche, you have every right to call it." He placed a light kiss to Greg's temple as he pulled the younger man in closer for comfort. "I still love you, man."
"Even if I hit you like the juvenile teenager I was acting like?"
"Even then, baby. Come 'ere." Nick leaned them back across the white cotton comforter that laid in a messy pile across the bed. Their before-work routine had been interrupted by a call-in from Catherine, and Nick was still sporting a partial wood from the halted activities.
The kisses started slow--warm, cautious, as did the touches to Greg's body. "Even if you were wrong," Greg shot Nick a disgusted look, "which you weren't," Nick's smile brightened his whole face, "I would love you more than anything else in this whole daggum world."
Greg stared into Nick's eyes. "We have to meet the team in 20 minutes. Let's not start anything yet." Nick could see the underlying meaning to "anything" in his lover's return gaze.
"Okay, but I'm gonna hard for you all night. There's no way I can keep my hands off you the whole time." Both men snorted.
"Same here, Nicky. Same here..."
THE END.
Heehehehee. I love these two!
