Well, color me surprised!

So, I am still learning all this LJ stuff so cut me some slack.

I am cindyls1969  but my friends just call me Cindy. I know, original right? I am from a really small town just south of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. I am 40, a mom of one and never, ever thought I would find myself here.

I discovered THE LOVE just before Christmas last year. I was over on fanfiction.net, exploring some stories in the Nuke fandom and started looking around. I always liked CSI and so I decided to check out some of those fics and who, could have knocked me over with a feather when I started reading. And then, it all made sense!! The clouds parted and angels sang........but seriously, they were hot and sweet and made me laugh and cry at the same time and so I went exploring and found this place. I have been obsessed ever siince. I have read my way through WMTDB, the rec lists, the CSI slash and I am looking for more all the time, so please writers, keep going!

Funny story, I was reading a story about Nick and Greg going to a small Alberta town and the writer was describing it and I had to write to them and say, I thought you were gonna name the town Devon.(Where I am from). They wrote back saying it would have been weird to name it after her home town. It made me laugh. One of these days I am going to invite her for coffee.

My fav stories, hmmm. I love riku_rocks Dating Advice, anything by saras_girl , carolinecrane , who wrote me a sequel to one of her stories after I bombarded her with reviews, geekwriter143 , and so many others. I could list story after story, but you get the point. I am considering doing some writing here. I write in the Nuke fandom and I am not too bad, but Nick and Greg is a whole different animal and I want to be sure I can get it right. I am also a big J2 fan. That's Jared and Jensen, the guys who are on Supernatural.

I don't have a favorite moment. Any Nick and Greg moment mades me want to smile and I will take all of them I can get. My favorite episode is probably Stalker. Nick looks so gorgeous and Greg is just adorable.

I also want to thank our mods here. Keeping this place going isn't easy and I appreciate all the work that goes into it and all the site that are taking care of us. You are getting a standing ovation from me.

Welcome to the Love! I did the exact same thing when I discovered N/G. I read and read for weeks/months. Enjoy because this fandom has probably the best writers and I should know I'm involved with a lot of other fandoms ;-)

Have you watched all the amazing fanvids over at Youtube? There used to be a lot of them over at WMTDB but I'm not sure they have been replaced on the new side.

Who you definitely have to read is kennedy and MsMaggs. Amazing writers!

One little warning, if you are not into RPF don't read my jansis stories. They are smutty and about real guys, who I don't know, but wish I did, sort of like Nick and Greg.

And it is strange reading about your home town, isn’t it?

I was reading fic in another fandom and saw similarities between her story locations and places in and around where I live.

It turned out that she lives in Florida, but spent vacations with her cousins who live in our area of NY.

It makes me wonder if my neighbors aren’t secretly reading/writing slash fic at this very moment.
