S6Ep07: A Bullet Runs Through it, Part 1
This is probably the only time ever we offer a classic moment with a warning. Beware of that thing Nick grew under his nose; 'STACHE ALERT! Just like Greg we would rather not be reminded of this, but our guys do seem to have a little non verbal conversation on the issue here, so it is one of the nominated scenes in our Search for the All Time Favorite Nick and Greg moment! You will be able to cast your vote in the next poll. For now: get ready to shake your head with fondness; what was Nick thinking?

GREG: What the hell is that on your face?

NICK: *bites lip* I think it makes me look manly.
GREG: *snorts* I can't even look at you.

NICK: Come on man, look at me, I'm oozing testosterone here.
GREG: *giggles*

GREG: Grissom, may I be excused? I can't possible focus on work with stache-boy here next to me.

NICK: You suck. You're sleeping on the couch.

GREG: Dude. Not funny.

NICK: *smirks*

GREG: *starts plotting revenge*

For making it through these¹, here is a promoshot from S6Ep1 where Greg is longingly looking at Nick. We don't see this shot in the episode itself, so it doesn't qualify for the poll. But isn't it adorable? :)

Heehee; *suppresses pervy thoughts* Greg seems to be a bit overwhelmed by the scene. Looks like Nick is offering support behind his back. (In a completely innocent, "hold my hand for some encouragement" kind of way, not in a "let me squeeze you and distract you from the horror of the job" - kind of way;)

Haha! I totally agree that Greg was against the stach, and I wonder what he had to do to get Nick to get rid of the thing! ;) One can only imagine...

Well, the follow up fic and art give us a couple of options how Greg convinced Nick of the error of his ways, I'm just very glad it only took him three episodes to figure it out. *grins*

Their expressions here are great.

Personally, I like the mustache. It gives Nick/George a Clark Gable sort of air...which I think Greggo would like too. ^_^ He does seem to like the the glamor days.

On the other hand, I despised Nick's long-hair phase he tried later that season. That just did nothing for him.

My theory on the stache is that Nick found Greg’s collection of vintage 1970's porn and decided to grow the porn-stache as a role-play treat for Greg.

Clearly, it was not on of Nick’s better ideas.
