To help you make up your mind about the most memorable moment of Season 1 in our Search for the All Time Favorite Nick and Greg moment, here is another adorable scene from the second half of the first season, with bonus soundtrack! Greg is pulling Nick's strings -again- by talking about girls. Which of course makes Nick out himself as a total romantic. Oh guys.
01.
NICK: Hey, Greg.
GREG: Shh.
02.
GREG: I might be looking at the mother of my children here.
03.
NICK: Somebody's been putting in way too much overtime.
04.
GREG: No, man, this is serious.
05.
GREG: I had a date last night...
06.
GREG: and this girl has the most impossible green eyes. Just ... bamm.
07.
GREG: Shoulder-length blonde hair
08.
GREG: ... intelligent
09.
GREG: ... and she smells so good.
10.
NICK: Cute toes?
11.
GREG: Oh ... ideal.
NICK: Mmm.
12.
GREG: And none are longer than the big toe.
NICK: Mmm.
13.
GREG: Both feet. But, you know, what I need to know is what's on the inside?
14.
NICK: Oh, what's in her heart?
15.
GREG: No ... her DNA
16.
GREG: ... and let me tell you -- this girl has got some fine epithelials.
17.
NICK: Dude, you're sick.
18.
NICK: Man, you've officially lost it.
19.
GREG: No, no. There is this guy in Louisville. He charges 300 clams to test your spouse's underwear for foreign DNA.
20.
GREG: Now, that guy is sick. I'm just a romantic.
21.
NICK: But whatever happened to getting to know someone over coffee ... letting the relationship evolve? Romantic is sending flowers not bogarting her skin cells.
22.
GREG: Ahh, that's boring. What are you doing? What have you got?
23.
NICK: Um, pulled some hair off a male stabbing vic.
24.
GREG SANDERS: Okay, baby*. Uh-huh.
{click for sound!!}
25.
NICK: What?
26.
GREG: Nine lives.
27.
NICK: Cat hair?
28.
GREG: Meow.
As usual Greg has a large range of expressions to accompany his (big) talk, but Nick's response glances are equally adorable; we especially like his big grin right after Greg whispers 'baby' :-) Winnerlook however is the eye-dip Greg does when he delivers his punchline. Ba-da-bing!
Agree/disagree? Discuss! And who do you think is the bigger romantic: Nick or Greg?

Date: 2010-06-02 05:34 am (UTC)I think the “nice toes” exchange is even more bizarre than a DNA specialist bogarting skin cells. The later makes sense in a very strange, Greg Sanders sort of way. Greg didn’t seem to find the question about toes strange at all, which makes me think they’ve had that discussion before. (A topic which probably makes Greg happy seeing as his toes fit Nick’s “nice toes” criteria as we can see S3 Ep3 “Let the Seller Beware,” when Grissom infects Greg’s foot with mildew).
I think that Greg would win in the romance department.
At first glance, Nick seems the romantic. His version of the wedding in S6 Ep 21 “Rashomama” seems straight out of a teenage girl’s fantasy, but it is just that – a fantasy. I think Nick’s version of romance is what he’s always heard it should be.
For Greg Sanders, I think that romance is more fluid. He does like to know what floats a person’s boat, so I think he’d tailor the romance to his partner’s personal preferences

Date: 2010-06-02 10:02 pm (UTC)I never understood the toes question. The only explanation would be they had discussed about this before, which is kind of slashy itself.
