Last week's episode had a lot of people joining the discussion in the comments. Let's hope tonight is also worth talking about for a while, since there is going to be another two week hiatus after this one. Whether you feel like jumping for joy or stomping in frustration, this is the place to do it!

Please don't mention spoilers for future episodes, however vague they are. This includes suspicions about plot, cast or story-line development. Most importantly: try to keep the conversation about Nick and/or Greg (we have priorities \o/)
Now. Let's talk about this new episode....

Date: 2010-03-13 05:24 pm (UTC)Now that I've seen the episode I decided to stop worrying when all is quiet.
It was quite a basic episode with just a dash of Nick/Greg, who both looked nice, but didn't really flirt; they are so in an established relationship and get too good at behaving professionally. *pouts* (Although I think I spotted eyeliner on Greg, who is still aging backwards)

Date: 2010-03-13 03:39 am (UTC)We saw a little Greg (very little) and a bit more of Nick. Other than one short scene together, and their standing/sitting near each other for brief moments at the lab, that was it.
They have got to stop trying to make CSI into the Dr. Langston show if they are going to keep people interested.
Is it just my imagination, or is Greg actually getting less screen time as the season progresses?
I was a bit disappointed in Nick’s lack of emotion in dealing with the dead child. I miss the days, before he became a tough CSI supervisor, when he would get all emotional over the death of a child.

Date: 2010-03-13 03:48 am (UTC)man, nick didn't ever sobbed or anything, and we all know that emotion is what nick is made of.
also, greg barely spoke in the episode; it's like when he was a new CSI and none seemed to notice that he was there.

Date: 2010-03-13 05:34 am (UTC)Nick and Greg work so well together. Their conversations are always my favorite scenes.
The way things are now, they might as well send Greg back to the lab to make coffee and sit alone sorting through bags of trash the rest of the team has collected.

On the more lighter note, when Nick and Greg were standing besides the evidence table, did you notice their arms brushed against each other? They were well inside the others personal space, but neither didn't seem to mind at all. ;)

Date: 2010-03-13 03:21 pm (UTC)And it’s not as though Nick didn’t show any emotion at all. After he finished processing the boy, Nick did gently place his hand on the child’s head in a moving, yet brief, emotional gesture. It shows that he’s matured as a person.
I suppose that I miss the old Nick. While he was examining the boy for trace and whatever, they didn’t yet know how the boy died. All they knew was that the boy died from a blow to the head and his body was dumped. That alone would have brought tears to the old Nick’s eyes (and there are few things better than seeing Nicky cry).
And yes! I did notice the closeness of Nick and Greg at the table. At one point, it almost looked as though they were touching hands when Greg was leaning on the table’s edge.
It seems as though, in both the sitting and standing scenes, they were totally comfortable being together and that neither of them was aware that Greg kept leaning closer.

Date: 2010-03-13 05:34 pm (UTC)I liked seeing them together, even if there weren't any sparkling conversations.

Date: 2010-03-13 05:31 pm (UTC)It wasn't really the Langston show though, was it? It was just a regular case with everybody working. Even Catharine showed an interest.
I thought Nick handled the case fine; in the past there have been crying moments when they weren't required (after TPTB figured out he cries so pretty) but here he showed an understandable restraint on the job with the perfect touch of feelings when he was on his own (stroking the dead kid's hair, smiling when looking at the videos). And you bet he let go in private.
He used to wear his emotions (especially anger) on his sleeve, I like that he has clearly matured on the job (some may say he got colder, but I think it's out of selfpreservation)
