Date: 2010-01-15 10:32 pm (UTC)I was quite intrigued by Langton's refusal of a DNA comparison. I wonder what that was all about, I'm curious now. Though that final scene in the episode with Nick... I'm just gonna pretend he was having a conversation with Greg. Gotta stay optimistic!

Date: 2010-01-16 06:25 pm (UTC)Sadly no Nick/Greg interaction at all. That whole telephone conversation was made of lame and I'm just gonna disregard any significance whatsoever. Lalalalalala.

Date: 2010-01-15 02:00 am (UTC)However, I did like at the end when Nick was chatting on the phone. I was glaring waiting for the moment he said what's-her-face's name... But it never came, so at least the vagueness is there, and the rest of us can say it's Greg he's talking to, haha.

Date: 2010-01-15 04:39 am (UTC)But looking past that, the epi was still quite good, I quite enjoyed it. Very excited to see where they go with the Dr. Jekyll maniac, and next week looks pretty interesting as well.
Overall, would have loved more N and G, but I guess we can't win 'em all. Just keeping fingers crossed for future episodes.
Oh...I remember, there was one little bit at the end that made me a little more sad about n/g...although if you take it out of context (which is was we do best) than it could be seen as Nick/Greg. Won't say it to give away spoilers, but it was at the very end. Sorry if I'm being very cryptic and not making sence! lol

Date: 2010-01-15 04:59 am (UTC)Crafty little buggers these writers are! If we squint really hard we can pretend it was Greg though ;) lol

Date: 2010-01-16 06:37 pm (UTC)But the guys both did a good job. Greg especially looked mighty fine doing it. Too bad they didn't work together, but like you said: we can't be that lucky all the time:) We've been having such a great season N/G wise so far, I don't care whatever 'subtle' sideplots TPTB come up with. I only wish they had learned by now to leave the relationship stuff to the fans and not try to hit us over the head with it. It's a CRIME show not a soap opera, dammit.
No need to be cryptic about the episode we're discussing;) I bet we were all thinking about it and coming up with alternative options to the worst case scenario as we watched. Nick could have been talking about some purchase he made on the internet whereby he didn't mind going over to the seller's place to get the goods. Or something. *grins*

Date: 2010-01-15 05:09 am (UTC)It seems like ages since the last new ep aired.
Although I would have preferred to see Nick and Greg working together, I’m happy they were both in this ep and that Greg is getting significantly more screen time than last season.
Greg and Catherine worked well together and there was no sign of him being treated as a lab refugee in a CSI vest. Looks like he’s finally made it.
Nick looked delicious, as always, but Greg looked exceptionally good this week. His hair was a tiny bit longer and it looked as though there was a bit of smudged liner highlighting his eyes and a bit of color on those pouty lips. Sort of an updated version of early Greg.
No spoilers or speculation, but I must admit that I am curious about Langston’s aversion to DNA and that snippet we heard of Nick’s phone conversation at the end.

Date: 2010-01-16 06:51 pm (UTC)There have been other 'subtle' and more or less suspicious hints about Langston's behavior. In a previous episode he introduced himself as 'Dr. Death' to a suspect. Which I thought was strange. I'm as curious as you are to see where this may lead.
Nick's phone conversation felt like another one of those set-ups that TPTB love so much. In the past some of these ideas never got a thorough follow up (Warrick's wife anyone?) and I'm hoping they are gonna let this one go as well. As far as I'm concerned Nick only has time for Greg, next to his all important job.
I liked that he even refered to himself as 'a hero' to Langston, while we have known him to have a hero-complex for years:)

Date: 2010-01-16 09:15 pm (UTC)Did you know the guy who played him is actually one of the CSI writers, I totally cracked up when I saw him!
Anyway,I enjoyed the episode, even though Nick and Greg weren't in any scenes together but Nick was obviously on the phone with Greg in the end. There's just no other possible option. ;) (Or it's just some random thing the writers like to do, anyone remember Greg's phonecall when Nick walked in in season one. Nothing ever happened there.)
