Hey Gang,

We would like to kick off the New Year with something new and exciting.

Remember that first episode of CSI you ever watched? The first time you saw and noticed The Love going on between our two favorite CSI’s? The episode of CSI you love to re-watch and can possibly quote in your sleep by now? Well, we want to know about it!

So starting today we offer you some polls to give your opinion. This first one is all about you – the members of nickngreg, who actually keep this community alive with your fics and art, comments and suggestions:-)
Then in the next ones we are going to make an effort to find The All Time Favorite Nick and Greg Moment! Stay tuned for more information later.

Have to say I always loved Nick more than Greg, there is no particular reason. In general I love both of them, but Nick is just... I don't know, he just has something going on that makes me go 'grrrr' if you know what I mean. =)
I love both of them to pieced, and Greg certainly is cute, but Nick just does it for me...

I would have chosen both if I could, because they are so different and my preference for either one often shifts per episode. But in the end I picked Nick, even though Greg dresses better and is definitely cuter *ruffles his hair*. But if we're going for physical attraction I'm voting Nick, since he is the kind of guy I would want to lick all over if he would let me. See icon. *grins*

Also: I hope there are still other people in my age category around... Anyone? Bueller?

I LOVE Greg! In all his crazy shirt, Marilyn Manson/loud music loving, Chuck Taylor ways!! Not that I don't like me a hot cowboy, But Greg's definitely the guy I'd hang out with and take home if I were staring at the two (and they weren't obviously in love with one another).

I've got Greg as an interest in my Userinfo. And by interest I don't mean for the looks (cos the looks list is separately written in the info) - he's there because of being Greg. XD I like him like then, I like him like now.
I'd write if I had the confidence and certainty that I could write something that sounded right (problem I've found with some other fandoms too, no matter how much I may like them).

I cannot remember, for the life of me, which CSI episode was the first episode I saw. I think I started regularly watching it around season 5 or 6 but before that I may have watched part of an episode or two.

I guess I always figured there was a great chemistry between the two (friend-wise I guess) but it was only recently that I started thinking "oh wow.. these two could totally be gay together". When I started (re)watching some of the older episodes I noticed that The Love was definitely stronger within the first few seasons, it seems everyone seems to have noticed that as well. The two of them definitely need more time together though it seems to be looking up this season and hopefully The Love will continue to progress throughout the season.

Greg has been my favourite character ever since I started watching the show. I always loved his humour and youthful demeanor as well as his over all cuteness. Nick has also been a favourite of mine since I started watching the show, I loved the fact that he expresses his emotions and is also a compassionate person. Though Greg definitely takes the cake as my number one favourite on CSI. =]

Greg's gay boy potential hit me when he and Warrick were at a strip club, and one of the girls saw Greg and said, "I like you - you're safe".

Even my wife was like "of course you're safe - you're gay!" :-)

There are more not-so-subtle references to Greg's preferences; in FannySmacking (my heart hurts just thinking of that episode) he tells Catherine he had dinner with the DA and she asks with raised eyebrows if it was a woman;)

But the one you mentioned is definitely a winner. *smishes Greg*

"Fannysmackin'" and "Grave Danger" are two episodes that I can't watch without feeling really sad and heartache-y. But Catherine's response doesn't surprise me too much - she's really smart, and I think her gaydar/kink-dar are both really well tuned towards Nick and Greg!

(oh, do you happen to know the episode name for the Greg & Warrick at a strip club scenario? strych9_twitch and I are both drawing a blank!)

I managed to track the episode down. Had some trouble finding it, because you paraphrased the quote, but the sentiment was definitely the same;)

It's S6Ep19 Spellbound and the actual exchange is:
GREG: So he was stalking you?

Thank you!! I feel kind of stupid for not knowing the episode, and I'm glad that I at least got the sentiment of the comment! :-)

And I went to iTunes and downloaded that episode - it reminded me of how much I miss Grissom (with a beard!) and Warrick. (Greg and Nick certainly do make up for that, though...)

Ah yes. Greg's definitely my favorite. I started out liking Nick best, but it's probably because Greg didn't appear as much at the beginning of season 1. But the more I saw of Greg, the better I liked him. :3 Don't get me wrong, I still like Nick, but Greg's definitely my favorite. <3

I absolutely love CSI! My first episode was Fannysmakin', and it was just by chance. I was at my friends place and they were watching it because it was the new episode that night, and I absolutely fell in love. I watched as many as I could on the spike network, but it wasn't enough, so now I own all the seasons!

I absolutely love Greg, but I do still love Nick, just maybe not as much as Greg. I thought Greg was wonderful in the lab, he was so funny and witty, but as he's gone out in the field and as his character has grown I'm a little dissapointed that he's lost his certain...charm, and bascially his young happy innocence(and hair). Nick is great as well, such a gentleman and I'm glad that he's now the 2nd in command.

Overall, Season X is doing quite well. Absolutely loved the one where they go to the diner for Henry's birthday, and of course it doesn't turn out like they planned. That was a really funny episode, and in my opinion one of the best for that season so far.

I can't wait to find out what's in store for our lovely boys in the rest of the season.

Oooh, good point. I myself can't imagine trying fanfiction of a show I haven't seen before, but I know there are more people out there who started reading first.

It’s hard to choose one over the other because I view them as a matched set, but if I have to pick one; my favorite is most definitely Nick.

Greg is outstanding in personality and style. He’s open, honest, handsome, and in the real world could be my best friend. But for all-out good looks and sex appeal, It’s Nick hands down. From the top of his head to his bodacious bottom to the tip of his toes, that man reeks of sex. Best of all, is his oh-so-obvious (and often oblivious) attraction to Greg. They were positively made for each other.

I love them both! But if I had to choose one, it would have to be Greg. He's just...like the comic relief, ya know? If he wasn't on the show, it would be depressing as fuck. But even now, his funny moments seem to be getting further and far between. I do not like it.

I love them both equally since they're so different, but I love the way they have had Greg pretty much grow up in the last 10 years. He was almost a teenager at first; and now he's a man. I think that before Nick saw Greg as a little brother, though someone else's since he wanted to bang him; but now they're more equals and the love is still going strong.

I always wanted the series finale to be a double wedding with Greg/Nick and Cath/Warrick. :)

I remember that the first episode that I ever watched was Pilot xD I also remember that, when Holly entered where the bodies were, I thought 'oh crap I would be as freaked as she is' xD
I totally love greg *-* I like how ambiguous his sexuality is xD
This pairing should totally become canon; when I started watching CSI, I saw a lot of chemistry btw them, I think that, in a beggining, the producers or, well, the people who writes the episodes xD, wanted them to be together, I dunno, it's my feeling~
