Date: 2009-11-01 05:39 pm (UTC)It wasn't a subtexty-episode, but we've been so spoiled with it in the first four episodes, I'll let it slide for now;)

Date: 2009-11-04 06:50 am (UTC)What stunt did Nicky pull? I watched last week’s ep again trying to see if there was something I missed, but I didn’t notice Nick pulling anything.
Is that in reference to Nick reprimanding Greg in ep 1? (Which I imagine had more to do with something personal like Greg having put Nick’s favorite shirt in the dryer and shrinking it two sizes or some other domestic argument that carried over into work.) Whatever the problem was, they’d worked it out before their spider bonding moment at the end.
So back to this past ep. –
Though there wasn’t as much N/G interaction as I would have liked, it was still better than last season.
I like the scenes between Greg and Sara. Greg flirted with everyone back in the day. His relationship with Sara has developed into a good solid friendship over the years (obvious in Fannysmackin’).
I didn’t think that I’d like Sara returning. I was more than ready to have her character leave the series. They dragged her leaving on for so long that I kept thinking, “Quit whining and go already!”
Surprisingly enough, I’m enjoying her return. She’s like the new improved version of the early Sara and I feel it’s brought cohesiveness back to the series.
It was a good hair week for both our boys. Greg’s is getting a little longer and not as “I’m a serious CSI-3” as it had been, and Nicky’s is short and sexy as opposed to the buzz cut (which doesn’t quite work now that he’s gotten older).

Date: 2009-11-04 09:25 pm (UTC)Thank you for offering your view on the episode! I'm also enjoying Sara this season; she is back to focusing on the job, which is what I prefer my CSIs to do (I'll supply the subtext myself - don't need canon to shove it in my face;o)
Good point about the buzz cut; when Nick first shaved his head back in season five I was shocked, but I've come to like it. But as he gets older I like his hair a little longer (I want to see the gray hair;).
Greg is looking good (still aging backwards, how does he do that?)
