Hello all, I've gotten several emails about problems uploading over at WMTDB, it is because while 0creativity is converting the existing archive over, he has disabled the uploading because there had to be a cut off point when converting begins, but as soon as that's finished, the uploading process will be back to normal, hopefully very soon. For more info, read the top comment HERE.

Secondly, while the site was down, people were looking for other archives or recs..... Well while it's back up and working links for now... I made a rec list quite a while ago, I need to update, but some of my personal recs are found HERE. I will be updating once the archive is converted since all links will changed. It's been awhile, so it's a little old, but I hope you will find something you like.

Also I always save stories to my hard drive, so I will have my fics even if a site is down, I literally have hundreds saved on my computer, so if the site doesn't work or are looking for something special, let me know, I may have it...

Just a few quick notes while there's a post up mentioning the site :-)

1 - The site design/styles are not complete yet, not to mention the incomplete design has only been applied to a couple of pages, so some pages just aren't going to look right at all. The styles have only been refined for FireFox at this point, so if you're viewing the site in Internet Explorer or some other browser, even the "completed" pages are probably going to look a little funny.

2 - This is not the final home for the new site. I am using it to test the new system. Once I have most of the bugs ironed out and the site styles complete, I will be moving everything one more time to the final web server.

3 - The stories have been converted over successfully. My goal is to iron out the bugs in the system (and there are quite a few still there, so don't be surprised if you're looking around the test site and things don't work right), add features that aren't currently there (first up: a search option), move everything over to its final place, then work on getting the icons and videos back up. Once all of that is done, I will be looking into whether or not it will be possible to convert existing story reviews and favorites.

4 - I am aware there are features that still need to be included: search is definitely in the works, a comment/review system will be implemented at some point, user preferences need to be included so users can change passwords, etc. However, at this point, the main goal is just to get the site in a stable place again. Once that is accomplished, I will start working on those features that need to be there.

5 - It's going to be another little while before we are ready to make the official transition. I won't be able to work on the site at all for the next week or so, and the amount of time I can dedicate this varies from day to day the rest of the time, anyway.

6 - Thank you so much for your patience as we work through all of this... you all are seriously great and I really appreciate the support you've shown us :)

If you have questions about how things are going to work, suggestions, etc. just ask here and I'll be more than happy to answer when I get the chance.

Question 1: Do you think we will receive mails when we are answered to our reviews?

Question 2: Do you think it could be possible to stay logged for a long time? Because it logs off in a really short amount of time and in general, with what I said in Q1 and Q2, it keeps me from reviewing on WMTDB most of the time... :(

Answer 1: Once I've gotten to the point where I am ready to work on implementing a review system, I will definitely be looking into the email notifications.

Answer 2: The staying logged in issue is one that I'm aware of and I am working on getting it corrected.

I just wanted to say I just went to your rec-list and I completely forgot about Absolutely Zero and Not Even Poets. To this day I'm still sad she hasn't finished those. I think I need to go read One Good Man again. *sighs half happily*

Yes, I adore "AZ", while I was out of town, I took my binder of "Geek Fic" with me, and reread, "NEP", I forgot how much I adore Greg in that fic....he's so Greg and perfect and scared and scarred and I really would have loved to have read the rest of it, but I'll take what I can get..... I need to add so many more, but I hate to do it and then just have to redo it again after the conversion.... I need to go through all of my binders and find some of great fics from past that time has forgotten....
