Is anyone else having problems getting into WMTDB? I can't get to recently added no matter what I click on.

Yeah. I was having the same problem. Recently added kept bringing me to the search menu and when I clicked on individual authors, everything (stories, favorites, user info) all came up blank. I just hope there isn't any permanent damage to the site and that it's just temporary. Apparently, CSI-forensics was down at the same time as WMTDB (a few days ago when WMTDB's archive always turned up as a blank page). I'm guessing that they use the same server and that something is wrong with the server. According to one of the CSI-forensics mods, the person who runs the server has kids and sometimes takes a while to get it back up. You don't think there would be any permanent damage or that it could be a hacker, right? That's what I keep worrying about everytime this happens, especially since there are some crazy homophobes out there who might want to destroy such material. I really hope I'm just being paranoid though.

Yep, the site is definitely wonky at the moment. Us LJ-mods have noticed it too and we are debating options (sadly we haven't been able to contact the maintainers yet). If anyone knows anything more we'd love to hear it.

In the mean time don't despair! Servers sometimes fail and computers occasionally falter, but fandom is notorious for saving stuff, so I'm confident not all is lost. *puts up brave face*

Apparently some databases is down. The site is acctually there, but it seems that the databases are empty, and even that the text files containing the text is missing. I'll try to contact Matt to ask about it.

Seems like everything is there (the text files and the databases), but it doesn't writes out correctly!

From what I have looked at so far, it looks like everything should be working, although it obviously isn't. The database seems to be there and in tact, the story text files are there, there haven't been any changes to the scripts recently, and the pages aren't actually displaying any errors, which makes it hard to tell what the actual problem might be...

My only suggestion at this point is to just see if it starts working again soon. There's not really too much more I can troubleshoot at this point. In the meantime, I will work on getting the site setup in a much more stable environment... something I've been saying I'd do for years. Hopefully I'll actually follow through this time!

I too have been having issues, I can't get to any of the stories at all. :(

I Hope somebody gets WMTDB working soon. It Still doesn't work. I just was on and wont ley me long in and find new stories added.

Hey everyone.... I've been doing what I can the last several days... but I'm not the computer whiz that Matt is.... I due owe them a payment... which I am trying to come up the money for... I need to find out exactly how much I need to pay if that is the problem.... The site is definitely not gone for good.....
