ART - Playful and shiny

Ah, here I am again. Sorry for the long silence, I was on a vacation (sort of...). I did a lot of sketches, and I planned to post them all, but when I scanned, they turned out...kinda not ok. :D

So, I went and outlined, and coloured.....and ended up with 2 pics. Hum, drawing with graphic tablet takes time! But I like the results, so I think its worth it :)

Lol, at first there was just plain outline. Then I felt like tweaking so I made a shadow of them. Then I thought to myself "hey...this looks plain" and decided to color the vests....and add some textures. And I would've shaded it if I didnt need to go to sleep soon, coz of school tomorrow. IT HAS BEGUN!

If I ever do a CSI comic, I want it to look like this! Tho I get a headache from just thinking of how long it will take to finish a page :D

Thisone took me all friggin day to finish! I'll say no comment here. I like it tho *le sigh*

Oh, before anyone asks (if anyone asks...lol) Greg is not wearing lipstick! *laughs*

Congratulations on passing all your exams. Are they college exams? My daughter just started college in Arizona and I know she is hitting the books pretty hard. Glad you have the time and found something relaxing to do!!

Yeah, they're college exams. I just entered the third (out of 4) year :) Im really lazy as a student, and I dont like to study, that's why I have so much free time, and that's why I have problems towards the end of school year hehe... completely my fault ;) but I still prefer the last minute studying (even tho its risky XD)

Im already working for some local magazine. Its just a minor thing, little illustrations or an anime article...:D

your drawing is wow! I do draw some myself, not anything close to what you do thoug, but enough to know it is a lot of work, and it takes talent to make drawings like the ones you present!

People always say practice makes perfect. I doodle a LOT. I also look at online tutorials to improve my skills. My weak point would be anatomy and clothes. I get gray hair coz of that hehe XD

yeah, practice makes perfect, and of course my drawings would be better if I did practice more. I have just moved into a new house, and when we have finished renovating (In hopefully 2 weeks) I will start furnishing my new home office. I will then get two desks in there; one for computer stuff (and work, which is computer stuff (web design) and one for art... so when I finally have a place to actually sit and draw, I will practice more as well. I have realized though that I have other things to spend my time on (like my 14 month old daughter) so I won't have enough time to actually improve that much. But that doesn't mean I won't enjoy it just as much! :-) I'm all happy just to think about it.

I was sitting next to a girl in a couple of classes in high school (I was a year above her, but some classes had students from different years). I liked to draw and sometimes could draw something that people liked... but she... she was fantastic! She could draw most anything. There was such a huge difference in talent... and today, she draw the comic "Nemi (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nemi_(comic_strip)). That has showed me that some people can use their talent and get far with it, and some of us only have talent enough to do it as a privat hobby, but for me, that's enough. I think you have talent enough to take it further though... if you like to.
