Title:Gone
Rating:PG-13
Warnings:Character death
Summary:The only person he had truly loved was gone.
Spoilers:None
Author's Note #1: Hi all! I haven't writted a fic for a while, so I thought I'd better get on with it :) This is only a little ficlet, but it's powerful.
Author's Not #2: Un-beta'd, so all mistakes are mine.
Disclaimer I don't own the boys unfortunately. But judging by the majority of my stories, it's probably best ;)
Greg ran onto the crime scene, ignoring the shouts of his co-workers. He ran forwards; his boyfriend lay on the ground, skin pale and life-less. He brought his hands up to cover his mouth. A bloodstained shirt stretched across an un-moving chest confirmed what he had been told, yet hoped was not true.
‘Nicky,’ he whispered, falling to his knees beside the body. He rest his head in the crook of Nick’s neck, the way he loved when they were making love. He spread an arm across Nick’s chest, gently stroking the stomach and thinking how it would make Nick giggle, causing the dimples that Greg loved so much to appear. Sobs racked his body and tears fell freely down his cheeks as he was pulled from the body. He heard Grissom shouting at him for spoiling a crime scene and Warrick talking soothing words in his ear. But none of it mattered – it was all far away.
The only person he had truly loved was gone.
Author's Note #3: I do like, Nick and Greg, honestly. It just seems my plot bunny has a nasty habit of killing them off. I won't do it again, promise :)
