Notes: This chapter is short because it’s an introduction to everything. Hopefully updates will be weekly. Reviews are greatly welcomed!

There were two things Greg Sanders noticed when he woke up that morning; the room he was in was definitely not one he had seen before and the person sleeping next to him was not his boyfriend. Horrified at that very thought, he scrambled from the bed, relieved when he found himself still fully clothed. So maybe he hadn’t cheated on his boyfriend, but he still had ended up in a stranger’s home, and in his bed.

Greg peeked over to the other side and grinned; not a bad looking stranger at least that was a bonus point.

-------

When Nick Stokes awoke that morning he realised two things. Firstly he was still in his clothes from the night before and secondly he could hear the clatter of cupboards and his girlfriend was away… Panicked by the very thought that someone was rummaging through his apartment, he leapt to his feet, ignoring the alcohol headache, and thundered towards the sounds.

------

Greg really couldn’t think of many logical explanations as to what had happened; in fact he couldn’t actually even call them logical. The first one happened to be the most reasonable; he got completely smashed and went home with any stranger that seemed even the smallest bit interested. The second one seemed too far-fetched even by Las Vegas standards; he’d got completely drunk and married a total stranger because he’d ‘fallen in love’. Then the third was this guy had offered to take him home and a completely drunk Greg hadn’t been much help with directions, so they just went back to his.

“First one,” he laughed at himself, “as if I would get married…”

------

“Who the hell are you?!” Nick yelled at the person that was rummaging through his kitchen cabinets. The man froze and slowly spun to face him; grimacing as he saw Nick stood in the doorway, a baseball bat in hand.

“I was about to ask you the same thing.” The man said, trying to be light-hearted whilst forcing a smile on his face. “But considering you asked first, I’m Greg… Now where is your coffee?”

“Next cupboard over,” Nick said, easing the grip he had on the bat. “Why exactly are you in my house?”

The slender man shrugged, busying himself making coffee for the two of them.

“I was hoping you could enlighten me to that too, I really can’t remember much.” He laughed slightly. “You still haven’t told me your name, Tex.

Nick blushed violently at the use of such an affectionate nickname by this virtual stranger. He guessed that the ‘intruder’ was just as clueless as he was as to how he’d ended up here.

“I’m Nick and sorry to break it to you but I have no idea how you ended up here either.” He said, moving towards the island in the middle of his kitchen and hopping up on one of the stools. “I’m guessing it has something to do with too much alcohol.”

Greg smiled brightly at him, and Nick couldn’t help but notice how his smile lit up his chocolate eyes.

“I was thinking the same thing; you want milk?”

Nick nodded and the younger man passed him his coffee, hopping on the stool opposite him. They continued on in a stagnant silence, neither quite sure what to say to the other, it was an awkward scenario that neither man had expected to ever of happened .

Nick rubbed at his face wearily and Greg noticed the wedding ring sat upon his finger. Greg guessed that was the reason he had become so edgy when he realised that he had woken up with another guy next to him.

“Married?”

“What?” Nick asked surprised. "Of course I'm not!" His anger began to rise again as he realised that Greg was currently trying to hit on him.

“Whoa, I’m not trying to hit on you!” Greg protested, reading from Nick’s expression that the straight-laced Texan assumed that he was. “I just saw the ring, assumed you were married. My bad.” He said hurriedly, backing away from the angry Texan, he really didn’t need to have a black eye when he tried explaining this to Archie later on.

“Ring?” Nick asked dumbly, looking bewildered at Greg, who was nodding and pointing to his finger. Nick looked at his hand, the gold catching his attention; immediately cursing everything that band stood for. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” He mumbled, the reality slowly dawning on him that he was a married man...

But to who?

That’s when his stomach clenched as his mind started to work in overdrive. He could have only married last night, he was unmarried last time he could remember. He grimaced as he realised that there was only a few possibilities and seeing the matching ring on Greg’s hand could only confirm his biggest fears…

Almost at the same time Greg’s mind began to work again, realising that the Texan opposite had no idea who he had married.  That meant he could only have married last night in his alcohol haze and Greg couldn’t remember what happened last night either. He looked down at his hand, feeling rather dizzy as the reality dawned on him.

“I married you!”
