I was sitting in Starbucks the other day, like the dork I am, and there were two guys sitting to my right, just holding habds, and one looked just like Greg. So I had to write.
Title: Safe At Last
Spoilers: Stalker
Summary: Greg visits Nick in the hospital.
Nick was slowly drifting in and out of his dream like state. He could make out shadowy figures at his bedside and the constant beeping of a heart monitor. He also heard faint voices, but he couldn’t make out what they were saying.
He opened his eye and quickly closed them against to shield himself from the light of the room.
“Nick? Nick, can you hear me babe?” It was Greg. But his only response was a groan.
Nick heard a hurried shuffle, a click, and felt Greg re-take his place beside Nick.
He didn’t know how long he laid there, Greg’s hand in his and his bandaged arm over his eyes, but it didn’t matter. He was with Greg. He could care less if Grissom walked in and saw them hand in hand, or id Nigel Crane himself barged in. He felt safe, for the first time since this all started. He was safe.
