Greg woke up screaming. Nick almost fell off the bed.
“Wha? What?!” he stammered.
He groped at covers and found Greg sitting up shaking.
“What’s wrong, G?”
Greg panted and worked to steady his breath. He reached for Nick and buried his face against Nick’s chest.
Nick put his arm around him and asked, “Another nightmare about the explosion?”
Greg said, “No. Worse.”
Nick was puzzled. “Worse?”
“Yeah,” said Greg. “I dreamed that Grissom was talking about death and preferring cancer as a way to go so he could prepare…”
Nick turned the bedside lap on low and held Greg tighter. “It’s okay. It was just a dream. Grissom is only gone to a bug conference. He’s be back home soon.”
“No,” said Greg looking at Nick scared and sick. “That wasn’t the nightmare part.”
Nick looked more confused.
“I dreamed he was … *with* Sara!”
“Eww! Gross!” said Nick backing up to look at Gred like he was demented.
“Yeah! Scary, too,” said Greg with a shudder.
“I’ll bet, “ said Nick. “At least we know *that* will *never* happen.”
“Yeah,” sighed Greg.
Nick held Greg close and whispered sweet nothings about what he and Gil would do to pleasure Greg as soon as Gil got home.
