tobiasdominik told me too ^^
“No, Greg! That doesn’t go there!”
“Nicky, it does too!”
“No, it goes here.”
Catherine slid to a stop outside the closed break room door, wondering if what she had heard was correct. She took a step forward, leaning in towards the door to listen some more. After a few seconds, she was about to move away, when she heard a – wait, was that Greg moaning? No, couldn’t be. Wouldn’t hurt to make sure, though, right? She twisted the doorknob, sticking her head between the frame and the now silent room. Nick and Greg glanced up from the camera lens they were trying to – fix. Oh. Her shock rapidly changing to embarrassment, she tried to recover quickly.
“Either of you guys seen Grissom around?”
Not exactly what or who she was looking for, but it would have to work.
“Nope.” Nick turned to Greg, his mouth twitching into a tiny smirk.
“You, G?”
“Uh-uh. Sorry, Catherine. Check his office.”
Yeah, why not check the obvious places? I’m not an idiot, guys, she thought, rolling her eyes slightly.
“Yeah. Thanks.” They both nodded and she stepped out again, shaking her head, sure she had heard something. Plus, why would Greg moan about his camera? Wait, that’s something she doesn’t want to know.
As soon as she had shut the door, both Nick and Greg fell backwards onto the couch, laughing breathlessly.
“Told you it would work!” Greg said after catching his breath, a sly grin still on his face.
“No bragging.”
“What about later?”
Nick grinned, smoothing out Greg’s shirt under his fingers, eliciting a small gasp out of Greg.
“Later.” Both grinning, Nick went back to helping Greg with his camera.
Neither could wait until shift was over.
*snicker* total crack, man.
