Setting/Spoilers: Set during Christmas 2003, halfway through season 4. Spoilers for the end of season 3.
Disclaimer: I don't own these characters.
Summary: Greg's second contact with Nick's family is a Christmas in west Texas.
A/N: This popped into my head and wouldn't let go, and it fit so well into my existing universe that I decided to actively borrow from it. So it's a prequel. For those of you familiar with Robert Jordan and Wheel of Time, I've pulled a New Spring.

This may work better if you've read at least the first chapter of Lone Star. (Chapters 2, 3, and 4 also linked. Chapter 5 is in production.)

This was the best Christmas Greg/Nick story I have ever read. Your Lone Star series is an absolute work of art. Every charater is so well written. Your depiction of Greg is spot on . I love Greg as a mature man. I am really eagarly awaiting the next part.
