Okay, actual comment time. I still think this is fantastic. I love the way you interweave the reactions of his family to him coming out with the introduction of the family members in the story. The last line about five down and two to go says so much about how things are for Nick. It makes me ache for him, and I'd really like to see the interaction he has with his mom.
