“Kellie? There’s someone on the other line.”
“Go ahead,” he could hear the smile in her voice. “And maybe it’ll be that Nick guy that you’re always fawning over!”
“I do not fawn!” He exclaimed before switching lines. “Hello, Greg speaking.”
“Hey, Greg,” came the familiar Texan drawl.
“Uh, Nick… hang on, there’s someone on the other line.” He flipped back over, “Kellie, you were right. It is Nick, and I kind of wanted to speak to him. And before you say anything, no, I will not ask him out! He’s out of my league.”
“Uh, Greg… this is Nick.”
