Fic Search!
Jun. 22nd, 2008 12:37 pmSo, because summer vacation equals assured massive brain farts, I was wondering if anyone recognized/remembered reading a fic that had the following elements:
Nick accidentally reveals his feelings to Greg in the hospital, post Fannysmackin', and Greg is shocked. Their relationship becomes strained once he returns to work, and Greg brags about a non-existant date just to make the message clear that he isn't interested, even though he really is and is just confused. In the story, Nick ends up almost falling off a really high tower when he called to process a scene because he was deep in thought. Sofia has a heart to heart with him, and later on Nick actually resigns and decides to move back to Texas. He leaves a note on Greg's windshield saying 'ask me to stay,' but Greg doesn't and he leaves. However, Greg realizes his mistake and drives straight through to Texas, and they eventually live happily ever after.
I remember soooo many details, and it really was a great story, but I can't for the life of me remember the title or author. I know that I read it within the past month, so any and all help is greatly appreciated!
