mod post the second, about tags, and other stuff

Well, sorry to bother you again, but this could be important, or not. Depending if you even read this.

First off all, thanks to all of you for the huge support so far.

Ahm...well, I think I should just start with saying what I wanted to say. I started tagging the last couple of hours *don't feel sorry for me, since I know you won't =)* and managed to get back to jan 1 2006. So I 'just' have to tag everything before Jan 1. =) now. I'm positive I'll be done by Friday :)

So everything that is going to be posted from now on concerning Fics, Fanarts, Icons, Videos will please be tagged with LJ user name, Rating and Title. The title please like that fic:"name of story". If your story title consists of comas please leave the comas away, otherwise you would divide your title. Anything else that is neither, fic, icons, fanart or video, won't be tagged please.
If you're writing on a series, please always tag the highest rating that your fic will reach.
And another thing. If you write a series, always just tag the series title, NO chapters, or chapter titles.

Example:
Lets take on one hand the Masquerade seriesx2 form Fred_bear *the last I tagged, that's why* and on the other Pirates from catlover2x *the second last I tagged tonight*. Tags would be for Masquerade : fred_bear, fic: masquerade seriesx2, NC-17 *nothing else, no AgentBoyz, no Undercoverboyz, just Masquerade Seriesx2*
And for catlover2x it would be: catlover2x, fic: Pirates, NC-17 *in the end you'll find all chapters of pirates under one tag and all chapters of Maquerade under one as well, all together, makes it easier for you and for us*

If you don't have a title than please tag: Fic:untitled. And PLEASE it would be great if titles would either be short, or written like "agdj..." because titles which are too long would just extend the tagging list. As usual stories get posted under an LJ-cut and with the following:
Title, Rating, Disclaimer, Warnings, A/N *if nesessary*, Summary Category *if nesessary* and whatever you think readers should know. And please don't forget the ratings, cause while tagging I noticed plenty of stories without rating.

Next thing on my list *yes I have a list, otherwise I would forget about half of it*... I deleted all spam posts and/or comments. So if you should look for one of these anonymous comments, which we had in march you probably won't find them.

I'm sure you have noticed the new design. If not...it's a new style, with white and blue. Something brighter.

Next point... the name. I don't know how you feel out it, but I actually don't really think that the comms name 'State of mind' is great. It sounds kinda plain to me, so I was wondering if that's just me, or if others feel the same. And if you would want to have a new name....we're open for suggestions.

Last but not least...so far the team consists of geekwriter143, serenity151979 and me mangojunkie. *Possible that we will be joined by one or two more.*

And please, the Tagging, I know it's new, but please, makes a lot of things easier.

And I kinda suspect that the tagging sounds a bit compliecated niw, but it really isn't. That's just me, I can't explain things the easy way. lol

As we're changing the layout, it's been agreed that 'State of Mind' doesn't really reflect what this community is about. Therefore we are opening the floor to the community to come up with a new name. Post your ideas in the comments section and once we get some good ones we shall take a selection of the best and most appropriate, and create a poll for you all to vote which one is your favourite. The poll will run for around a week, and once it's over we shall use the most popular.

So we're still coming up with ideas to try and improve the community and one of the things that was mentioned was a Nick/Greg mood theme. As a free account, the community as it stands isn't compatible with uploading our own mood theme. However, using the sponsored level would allow this.

So I've set up a poll so everyone can have a say about this. If you would like a mood theme and don't mind ads, then you can vote for that. Alternatively if you prefer no mood theme and ad-free, you can vote for that.
