S10Ep09 Appendicitement - PART 1
Of course everyone is invited to squee with us when we go down memory-lane, but especially for those of you who aren't able to watch Season 13 yet, here is a good old classic episode from Season 10 with lots of Nick/Greg. This episode was picked by rustie73 and is also in honour of Henry making it into the credits!

Remember when Nick & Greg (and Hodges) kidnapped Henry to take him out for ribs on his birthday? There is eye"flirting", Nick ogling Greg's ass and much much more. In fact, there is so much going on, this episode might as well be called: Nick & Greg's epic roadtrip adventure! To not overdose y'all we are posting this classic in parts. Here we go...


PART 1: Happy Birthday, Henry
After shift, Henry walks through the garage as he is suddenly pulled into a car with three masked men in it, driving off with screetching tires...
01.
Nick, Greg and Hodges take of their masks: "Happy birthday, Henry!"
Henry: You scared the crap out of me! What’s the matter with you idiots?

02.
Greg: Henry, my friend, you are about to have the best birthday of your life, because we are taking you to the one, the only, Harry’s Hog Hideout.
Nick: Yeah!

03.
Nick: It’s only the best barbecue known to mankind. It’s a little bit of a drive, but don’t worry. Greg knows where it is.
Greg: *chuckles* I thought you said you knew where it is.

A little later...
04a.
Henry [from the backseat]: "It’s just a bit of a drive, y’all".

04b.
Henry: Look, if this place, if it’s so great, then how come I’ve never heard of it.

05.
Nick: Come on man. A little trust, baby. Come on. It’s your birthday.
Greg: Yeah.
Henry: I hate my birthdays. They always suck.

Much later...
06.
Henry: Oh, great, we got a full moon tonight too, so every nut job in the state will be out.
Greg is looking at the moon, Nick is looking at Greg;) Keep your eyes on the road, Stokes!

07.
Hodges: I’m surprised at you, Henry. There is absolutely no statistical evidence linking lunar cycles to an increase in irrational, careless, or criminal behavior.
Nick [yells]: Are you sure about that?!
Oh no, Nick and Greg see a red car driving straight at them!!!!!!!!/o\

08.
To avoid hitting the car, Nick moves quickly off the road. Then their car flips and everybody yells....
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH O_o

09a.
The car rolls over and when it stands up on its wheels again, the guys climb out
Henry: Ow!

09b.
Nick: Everybody okay? Huh?
Phew, everybody seems okay. Notice how Nick checks in on Greg first?

Nick: Damn! I rolled that bad boy, didn’t I?
Greg: I’d say.
{fyi: on the right original yellow dessert hue, on the left adjusted colours}

Nick: Anybody got cell phone service?
All: No. Uh-uh.

Greg: Doesn’t really matter. Harry’s is about a mile up that way, I think.

Greg: We can walk it.

Nick: Whoo!
Nick hands out flashlights and checks his gun.

Greg apparently thinks looks are more important than safety and puts on his sunglasses. Ahem. (Or maybe he just trusts Nick to protect him. Although we're not so sure about him putting his gun in his pants. )

And then they walk....

Insert awesome Western-type soundtrack here. (Did we mention Henry sprained his ankle? Ahw.)

.... and they walk....

.... and walk some more.... Until...

Much, much later (and a lot longer than a mile...)

Greg: Gentlemen, we’ve arrived.
Nick: M-hm.

Hand in hand, Nick & Greg skip towards Harry's Hog Hideout. *chinhands*

Booties!
Henry: Doesn’t look real open, does it?

Nick: “Notice: closed by the Board of Health. Suspected point of origin: a hepatitis B outbreak. Date of closure: 7-3-09.”

Nick: Oops.
Hodges: That’s five months ago.

Henry: Nice. You were gonna give me hepatitis for my birthday. Thanks.

What is that look even? Does he want to give Greg a hug or does he want to shove him for messing up?

Aahw, the good old pat on the chest, Nick's signature move for all occasions when it's not appropriate to grope Greg. *g*

Nick: all right, maybe there’s a working phone inside. Let’s take a look around.

Greg: Happy birthday.

To Be Continued... (WILL THEY FIND A WORKING PHONE, WILL THERE BE MORE TOUCHING, WHEN DOES NICK GET A CHANCE TO OGLE GREG'S ASS? CAN YOU HANDLE THE SUSPENSE?;)

Anyone else think it was a bit cruel of them to scare Henry like this? (We wouldn't have expected this kind of joke from Nick, with his own experience in mind, then again, maybe this shows he is feeling comfortable in his own skin again? Discuss!)
How happy are we that TPTB made up for the lack of roadtrip footage in S9Ep09 19 Down...? We loved seeing Greg and Nick driving together shooting each other glances while the kids Henry and Hodges were bickering in the backseat.

Heehee, you're not alone; it was hard to stick with just one screencap; it was absolutely adorable how Greg climbed out; like he was stuck on the monkeybars :-D
