CSI Slash Amazon links...

Just a quick update for anyone who is/was helping CSI Slash's hosting bills by buying things from an Amazon site, Amazon has changed some of the rules. Correct Amazon links are currently on the top of the new stories page and on the Christmas Wish page.

A word of warning - everything is pretty dead in the water for all 3 Amazon sites, though a few items have showen up as ordered & shipped from Amazon . com & Amazon co uk. Unfortuntly the site has been doing very, very badly on all Amazon refferal fees and from the Adbrite ads in the last couple of months to the point they're not going to be a lot of help for the next lot of hosting fees in October.

Now, I have the link saved for Amazon.com from the new stories page. Is the link on the Christmas Wish page a different link, or have I been using it wrong?

The links are currently correctly - there have been a few changes like not being able to send links via email anymore and some of the very old links causing cookie stuffing. (There has problems with Amazon.com closing down people's reffal accounts due to problems with old links provided by them :( )

I'm actualy getting a little paranoid that Amazon can tell if someone clicks on a link on CSI Slash or uses a bookmarked link and haven't been crediting any of the sales from the bookmarked ones, given how badly things have been going recently...

And I buy something from Amazon almost once a month, since I was given a Kindle. So it's always a small purchase but I hope it helps.

My new resolution is to be better about clicking those ads :).

Every little bit helps thanks! :) Kindle e-books still earn 10% refferal fees, even if every thing else remains on the 4% mark.

The link you've posted does look like the currently verison pointing to the home page :)
