We can't help it, we just love it when Nick and Greg are obvious in the presence of co-workers. In last week's classic from season 4 we saw the whole team rolling their eyes, this week poor Ray has to suffer the subtext:)

GREG: Hey guys, you gotta see this!

(Nick's eyebrows say 'Hel-lo':)

GREG: Come into my lair...

NICK: "Lair?" Really?

GREG: Yuhuh: where I can have my wicked way with you *Cheeky head tilt*

GREG: If only Ray wasn't here... (Ray: "Oh man")

7.
RAY: Ahem, could you focus on the case, please?

8.
NICK: Come on man, don't be mean to my boyfriend, look at him, he's adorable!

9.
(GREG: He loves me, he REALLY loves me :-)

What? This really is the transcript of the scene. Word for word. Or possibly we improvised a little after seeing Greg's smirk when he told Nick the suspect used "performance-enhancing drugs". And then hearing Nick tell Greg to "Lay it on me" kind of took our minds off the actual case talk completely. It happens. Our sincerest apologies. Now come squee with us *grin*

Oh man, I loved this to death.

That last frame says it all.

Ray is all, “I hate it when they’re all cute and lovey,” Greg has that goofy “He REALLY loves me” expression on his face and Nick is all proud and “Damn right I love ‘im.”
This is definitely a squee-worthy posting.
