Classic Episode Discussion: S9Ep09

S9Ep9 19 Down...
On request we are going to extend our Icon Challenge and this means we will postpone the second part of the Season 6 poll, as to not distract you with too many projects;)

For those of you who are in the mood for a trip down memory lane, we offer a classic from season 9.
This is the episode when we hear Greg is promoted to CSI Level 3! \o/ And then the guys go on a roadtrip to celebrate. At least that's what we think;) How about you?
Here are four moments to reminisce...


---BREAKROOM---

Riley is assigned a 425: "Awesome, a trashrun for the lowest man on the totem pole" and she looks at Greg - WHO'S RECENTLY BEEN PROMOTED TO CSI LEVEL 3 \o/

Greg: "I promise not to abuse my power over you."

Nick: (Looking at Greg;) "Watch your back, Riley."
{Obviously he knows from experience Greg is totally capable of abusing his power...}

Greg: {You are so funny}

Nick: "Why don't we all meet up at the coffeeshop after work? Level 3 here is gonna pay."

Greg: {Seriously; too funny}
(No doubt Nick's gonna pay for that comment later;)

---ROADTRIP!---
To investigate the home of a suspect, Nick and Greg are sent on a roadtrip to Reno!

Fangirl research has concluded this is an eight hour drive each way. So they had plenty of time to come up with ways to entertain each other. Imagine the hours on the road; music-battles, a lot of teasing and obviously a stop to 'stretch their legs'.

Why did we not see ANY OF THIS??

All we got was them getting out of the car at the end. Fail CSI, fail! (Missing scene fic, anyone?)
For the untrained investigators among us; you can see Greg's reflection in the car;)

---BACK AT THE LAB---

Greg: "You guys aren't going to believe this..."

Nick: {Try me, Level 3}

Greg: "Remember that apparent S&M murder from five weeks ago? Well, who ever killed Gerald Oliver was also involved in the murders of Ian Wallace and Justine Steffani; his shoeprint was at both crime scenes. And Ian had nine post-mortem stabwounds, which didn't mean much at the time, but is consistent with the DJK's MO."

Greg: "I think we're dealing with a copy cat who's trying to make Ian and Justine the ninth couple."

Nick: {ORLY?}

Nick: "A DJK copycat, who just so happens to kill a DJK's accomplice that nobody knew existed until just now?"

Greg: "I've clearly missed something."
