Title: The Protector
Pairing: Nick/Greg, but of course.
Rating: PG
Summary: Yet another post-Grave Danger story. It's a little over 200 words, so I guess it's not technically a drabble. A ficlett perhaps?
Notes: This is my first actual Nick/Greg piece, so it's also my very first post here. I've been a shipper and enjoying stories by the other lovely writers for a while now, though. I'm a tad nervous, so any comments or constructive critcism are greatly appriciated. :)

You lay awake each night, wrapped up in both Greg's arms and the sheets. You take comfort in the warm breath on your neck and the light from the lamp next to the bed that Greg so graciously agreed to sleep with on. He has taken such good care of you, been so patient and understanding. He took off some time to stay at home with you, he's been so careful about not leaving you alone. He sings as he rocks you back and forth after you wake up from a nightmare. That is, if you ever get to sleep in the first place. He's been your support, your rock, your sanctuary. You can't help but feel a little odd, though, because you've always been the strong one. After the accident in the lab especially, you took it as your role to be Greg's protector. You're supposed to be the one cradling him, fighting away his demons, comforting and safeguarding him...not the other way around. But as you see the sun begin to creep in through the curtains and you feel Greg begin to stir and press his lips to the side of your neck, you suppose that's just the way love works. You're supposed to watch over each other.
