Okay, so my brain isn't the best with this whole "stopping" thing. Here are two more drabbles, one sad, one not.

Title: He's Never Had Cancer
Author: Quettaser
Rating: PG for both (I think)
Spoilers: Both are post-GD, but nothing specific given away
Summary: Greg muses on cancer and other things.

He’s never had cancer, never knew anyone who did, but he knows what it’s like now. To stand there, watching someone you love die. God, he’d almost died. He always thought that people remembered every detail, but they don’t, he doesn’t. Sometimes he forgets, forgets it happened, forgets the way his body ached, forgets those first tortured whimpers. But then it all comes flooding back and he can’t hold on. He used to think about what he’d do if someone he loved ever got cancer, he’d be poetic, heroic, strong, comforting. Now he knows that he’d be just plain scared.

Title: M-F, 10:30 AM, Channel 23, That's My Baby
Summary: It's something they do every day now.

They’d never admit it, but they love it. Sure, they were two grown men, but who could resist those little animals and the people who loved them? They tried to watch it everyday, but sometimes 10:30 is hard to do with their schedules. And sure, it probably has more to do with the fact that it was the first thing they watched when Nick came home, and they could laugh and coo and smile for a half hour, pretend that things were normal. The giraffe always got to them, those first steps, so delicate, so awkward, a newborn discovering the world. It’s their little indulgence and even though they’ve seen each episode a dozen times, they still watch.

I loved them both! Thank you for sharing!

The first one was so sad, and touching, and true and the second was perfect and sweet and they were both absolutely wonderful!

quite enjoyable. Espically the second. And it seems that none of us can sleep post GD.

No kidding. This is the second night in a row I've been up worrying about my boys. Which maybe is a little weird considering they're fictional characters, but that so doesn't stop the worry.

My roomate actually sat me down and made me watch an old episode to get the finale off my mind. I've heard GE talk about where he wanted to take Nick next year, and all it spells is ANGST. So yea, right there in the "worrying about my boys" camp as well.
