Title: No Truth in Reality

Author: [livejournal.com profile] amethyst_lupin

Pairing: Nick/Greg implied

Rating: PG

Disclaimer: Not mine, maybe yours, but not mine.

Warnings: None.

Spoilers: Grave Dangers.

Notes: A drabble, because I needed to get the image out of my head. Un-beta'd.

Greg couldn't bear to watch, but he had to know. So he didn't get close enough to the feed that he could see the panic on Nick's face or the fear in his eyes. Instead, he would just glance at it from the hall to see if Nick was still moving.

Knowing that he was still alive was all he needed.

Perhaps it was selfish, but seeing Nick like that killed him inside. He knew he wouldn't be able to work, or think, or breathe with the weight of that on his soul. All three of those things he needed to keep doing if he was going to get Nick back in one piece.

So Greg just kept working and moving, because if he stopped to think about what was actually happening he was sure he would lose it. There would plenty of time to face reality when this was done, but for now Greg would just pretend that this nightmare belonged to someone else.

Yes. That's exactly how I saw it, too. Lovely.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Constant motion is what keeps Greg together.

Wonderful.

Perfect Greg response. I really do see his reactions as such. Great piece, thanks for sharing.

Very nice. I must jump on board with everyone else and say this is how I saw it as well.

I concur. That's how I saw it as well. We're all going to be drabbling so much this summer.
