Chanace's Archive/CSI Slash

A quick note in case anyone checks here see what is happening with Chance's Archive. Due to medical issues and bills I can't afford to pay the domain renewal which is due on the 30th of May 2019, but will be able to pay it on the 11th of June when a Amazon check has cleared for me. It should take up to two to three days to get up and running again after I have paid it so the site should be back up and running in two weeks time - by Friday the 14th at the very latest if I need to actually doing and by the 12th at the earliest if it's 100% automatic...

I am so sorry about this, I had to choose between the paying the domain or the hosting fees and this seemed the lesser of the two evils...

URL warning for Chance's Archive

A lot of this is a combination of being my fault, medical issues, and horrible timing. I have paid the hosting fees for Chance's Archive, but can't afford to pay for the url for another year until the current check I have from Amazon.com clears in just under two weeks time. As the url is due to be paid by the end of this month, this does mean that the url won't be working for that time sorry. The site itself is going to be fine, as I decided that the hosting fees were more important under these circumstances I just can't afford the url right now on top of the hosting fees.

I will post another update on Updates Blog and will post on places like this journal when I have the url actually paid for and sorted out again. I am so sorry about this and I feel horrifingly awful about this :(

Over the past year to 18 months things have been getting worse when it comes to money earned from the Amazon referral fees and Paypal for the upkeep of this archive. I'm not sure if anyone would actually notice this but I'm updating all of the Paypal links on pages like CSI Slash - which only has the donations & unsubscribe Paypal links - and the CSI Slash Christmas Wish page - which the subscription links as well as the other two links. I have two reason to update to the new code from Paypal and to change from being a "CSI Slash" subscription to being a "Chance's Archive" subscription, which is really the same thing at the moment.

If anyone likes any part of Chance's Archive any Paypal or Amazon help would be deeply, deeply appreciated at the moment as they have been slowing down over the last few years - which I fully understand given the fact that all of the CSI shows are now off the air.

This is just a quick heads up so hopefully no one gets blind sided by the change in the next month or so. In order to save money I am dropping http://www.chancesarchive.net/ in favor of the com version of the site - http://www.chancesarchive.com/. The .com version of the site has been paid for until next year now, so the site as a whole isn't going anywhere just that the .net will stop working sometime over the next couple of months.
