Bad News for Eric/George fans

We all knew it would happen, but at the same time we all hoped it wouldn't. During a backstage interview at the Australian Logie Awards, one of the hosts asked George the great question: "Are you gay?" The reply? "No." Of course, we could all call it denial, although he was also asked if he was single, to which the answer was "yes, I am".

Means it's Nick/Greg all the way. It's in the characters, people. :D

i know, its somewhat disappointing, but my god did you see adam hills when he was interviewing him? when he pulled out the flashlight and he shined it over George's crotch and said "i dont think you've havent't been partying enough mister!"

I taped it too, only I missed a chunk off the start because my dratted VCR takes two seconds to start taping. Everytime George appeared on the screen, I pounced on the remote.

Amen to that, my friend. Must review tape. Will come back with detailed report of George's body language when answering questions. XP

lol so did i! i had the remote in my hand the entire time waiting for him to come on. the tape that i used for it has now been renamed the "never taping over this ever ever again. *grin* he was so pretty. and him talking about afl? *squee* he had no idea.

I have it taped in the small section remaining on the tape after CSI: NY where it crossed over with CSI: Miami. Never shall I retape on that tape. And I loved how George spoofed out "Where the bloody hell are you?" ad.

And I'm still questioning what George was looking at with that flashlight after he stole it. Had poor Adam Hills all uncomfortable and nervous.

i think ive decided the whole tape to csi. its a bummer that george didnt go on rove :( that would have been great
lmao! i just loved how adam stopped and went "what are you doing?" it was nearly as squee worthy as when george giggled and jumped off the couch when the flashlight hit his crotch (i just keep going back there dont i? *hee*)

I have a sudden urge to go watch that tape again, and I entirely blame you for that. The only thing I thought was missing from it all was Eric hanging off George's arm.

I'm fixated on Eric at the moment. I bought "The Net" yesterday, and Oh. My. God. *steals Eric*

Ooo, yeah. Eric playing a skateboarding 17-year-old eccentric computer hacker genius. There is a lot of similarities between the character of Jacob Resh *drools* and Greg Sanders, but still. Jacob is so loveable. Plus, Eric dressed up as and impersonating Elvis. Worth it just for that.

He appears halfway through the series, although his character is in it all the way. And the first time you see him in the storyline... god I need to screenshot that. His face just appears out of the darkness. *dies*

And he's bleached his hair. It's one step away from being white, only there is brown around the neck-line. And there is a lot of action, so Eric in action scenes - eg. Car chases, absailing, shootouts...

Just realised that I was correct in thinking they had messed up the box set. They episode 18 listed as episode 4, and it confuses the hell out of the storyline. Just means I'll have to watch it all again, in order. Perfect excuse for more Eric worship...

I swear, get your hands on The Net. Eric so so hot in that. Jacob Resh is so underestimated. And just to hear him called 'junior' and see him always mess things up or come rushing to Angela's rescue... it's little wonder she didn't kill him. Pity he was paying for everything for her - clothes, food, travel etc...

*squints* i think a mutual beneficiary agreement can be arranged. though i quite like the idea of locking them in together...*grins cheekily* i like that idea alot

Just because (he claims) he's not gay doesn't mean he can't be bisexual. Does anyone even consider that?

Besides, what does it even matter? Whether or not Eric and George are involved in real life has no impact on our lives. If we want to fantasize about their private lives, that's fine, but when we start getting disappointed that real life doesn't match, isn't it time to think about our priorities? Do you think anyone's obsessing about *our* personal lives like that?

I don't think anyone here is taking it personally. Its just idle chatter.

But you're right, if there are those getting really upset at George's admission, than they should probably reevaluate their priorities.

I've just been reading your posts about The Net. Is it a TV show or something? I have to see it! God, I love Eric to pieces.

I picked up my version at Big W. I shopped around (even in Melbourne) and that was the cheapest I could find it. It hasn't been out long, so it's still arriving on the shelves in some places. Only been out here for around two-three weeks.

Rewatching from episode 10 onwards at the moment. So much Eric... and I can locate no fandom for The Net series. Shame. No avatars... *heads out to make screenshots*

Didn't get a chance to rewatch the interview. Been drooling over Eric's Jacob Resh.

Yes, the did indeed turn The Net into a tv series back in 1998. Word is, Eric quit after the end of the first series, and soon after the show was axed. There is only one series, and in Australia it has just arrived on DVD. And trust me, it is worth every minute. Eric appears in episode 10 (although his character is in it from episode 1 - it's complicated) and my god he does some crazy stuff.

And yes, you have got to see the series. It's his second project, and he is good...

Personally, I don't really care if George/Eric are together in real life or not. That's their business, and I'm sure they're sick of people asking. I just felt like sharing the goss from the interview, that's all. Since it was exclusive to Australia, not many people would have seen it.

All I care about is the Nick/Greg moments. Those are priceless, but it would nice if Eric and George are playing with us fangirls by adding more moments than what is written. Having seen some CSI bloopers with George, I wouldn't put it past him. He and Eric probably sit down and swap stories about how nuts fangirls/fanboys are...

Where do you find all this stuff out? Web sites, blogs, etc? I'm still learning the ropes in this fandom, and I'd love to have some details to swap with my lil sister.
